I haven't seen any monster stripers so I think I'll be OK?

They definitely exist at DV.  There are reports and pictures of fish 20+ lbs., but you're right, you'll most likely get into the 18" to 25" fish.

Don't know that I'll make it this weekend.  If I do, I'll spend my time on the water since I didn't cough up the $$$ in time.  Hope to run into the flotilla on the water.

Michael

per tent: $25.00
per person day use: $10.00
per family day use: $15.00

I understand the idea to charge for those camping but don't get why we'd have to pay for day use.  Feel like I'm having to pay to hangout with the famous.  Just curious as to the reason for this.

BTW, officially in.

And would be up for a MBF.  I propose AOTY style where we accrue points for each species seeing as how DV holds all 4 freshwater species although it takes away from the "Chillin" aspect.  Whatever is decided, I'm in.

Joel, if the PFD I ordered arrives at Aquan by then, what are the possibilities I pick it up from you at the event?

Michael

Just a couple quick questions:

Is there potable water at the site or do we need to pack it in?

Will we also be charged an entry fee at the gate, or does the camping fee cover entry too?

If the entry is covered in the camping fee, I'm guessing we will still need to pay for boat inspection and the fishing fee, right?

Tonight is scheduled for packing and getting the gear together, See you guys Friday evening!  :smt006

Gate fees and inspection are additional.  Don't know what they are yet, maybe someone will post that.  I believe there is water faucet at the campsite.  I'll be towing in an empty plastic 5gal water jug for the to camp use.

Onions are already on my list, so I'll just buy a few extra!  Can probably get some tomatoes too!

If I recall correctly inspection is $4, launching $2, and parking $5?  Plus or minus a buck or two?

Oh yes, and the daily fishing permit(s)...  $4 a day?

I'll provide some man-dog toppings. I'm thinking in addition to onions and tomatoes, maybe some relish and/or a jar of sauerkraut.  :smt006
