I got the Fri, Sat,Sun,and Mon off for this event!! Really looking foreward to it!! Cant seem to get anyone on the phone for campground reservations. Gettin A little woried cause it sounds like this will be sold out.. As far as campgrounds go.

  Any one going to be Ab diving?  I may have to toss in the wetsuit and fins.

I don't think the campground will be full since the Salmon fishing is still closed. If it's sold out then we can camp at my property (I owned 2 lots in SC) but it's about a mile from the campground.

Good news!  My training in Sacramento starts on May 18th.  So I should be good to go!  I made this tonight to catch my first Lingzilla:



Maybe I will get some blood on my new speargun as well.  I can't wait!

i will definately be bringing my abdiving gear. i am more excited about diving sc than the fishing. dont get me wrong, i am very excited about the fishing too. however i am most excited about seeing and exploring that area for the first time. long live the king!!

Be prepared!  Like Domenic put out there, be ready with your safety gear and knowledge of the rules.  Another way to be prepared for this trip is to expect crappy conditions.  Bumpy WX with whitecaps and shifting winds, low viz diving water with surge and hard to find abs, cold, wet and windy camp...  Of course we hope for awesome conditions, but it's only by being prepared for total crap that we can have a great time no matter what.

I'm going to put up a poll on the General Talk page regarding tournee format.

I just looked through all 12 pages, Don, and I don't see Guitarzan - better put out an APB on him...   

I'm hoping we'll hear from FisHunter, SBD, and a few others that I've been to the Cove with too...

Here's a shot of the glory days at the Cove - HALIBUT, LINGCOD, SALMON, and ALBACORE.   

The tides for the trip are great for hanging at the beach during the day - great place for the family.

Also pretty decent abbing tides midday.
