For everyone that wanted to lose weight in 09

I have seen folks on Pirate4x4.com do "Biggest Loser" threads over the years, often with amazing results.  The idea is just to have a little friendly competition and peer pressure to keep everyone motivated.  Here's how it works:

Monday morning weigh-ins...including a shot of toes and the scale numbers.  I will keep track of starting numbers, pounds lost, and percentage lost.  We can also share what we did...or didn't do...to help lose weight each week.

Sean, will you start a spreadsheet to track the numbers... or should we all do that for ourselves?

As for duration, I don't have a preference.  A three month campaign would be a good pilot... doing it for the whole year would encourage long term commitment.

Is there any way the "Biggest Loser" thread could be private? I don't mine sharing pics and my progress with the Bros and sister members of the forum but not with the whole "world wide web".

The pics are only your toes and scale readout so as long as your nails are well groomed there shouldn't be anything to embarrassing. The desire to not fail in public is my motivator but there will be no process of dragging you thru the town square...if you slip a week or two we'll try and get you back on track.  If you want to fade out discreetly its all good too.  Welcome aboard Shifty.

I'm in for the year. I've been down this road before and it always ends up being a sprint not a marathon. I'll lose plenty over the first couple of months and it will all be back by Christmas.
