John, the owner of Wind Toys in Santa Rosa has just agreed to be the sponsor Women's AOTY division and a Kid's (under 17) AOTY division.  I'm expecting some nice prizes.

Thanks John!

Awesome news. Love seeing more sponsor. Thanks Wind Toys!  :groupwave

Amadeo's work is AMAZING.

I did some elbow rubbing at the ISE.  I expect more great prizes and captain's bag goodies to come.

We hope to fill the captain's bags with lots sponsor schwag.  Participants who register early are guaranteed to get more stuff than those who register later.  Hint... hint. :smt002

OK... OK.... I can take a hint. I'm in. It'll give me motivation to hit the water more this year. And now with the Kid's Division, I might even get #1 son to sign up.

Very nice... I thought the trip was going to be raffled off... That's going to hurt Melissa. She wanted to join up this year just so she could get in on the raffle. Either way, I'm in boys... 2nd place, here I come... again.

Freddie

The Rancho Vacation for two is currently planned to be raffled off, so all participants don't have to win in any category for a chance at an AWESOME prize.  They just have to be a paid contestant.

I have been reading the luck that "Melissa" had after her catching her monster dino (59") out the other day at China Camp. And once again a big "  :groupwave " to her. This year is the first year for me on a Yak. So far I have only caught one small trout, and really loved it!!! Well, I finally went and did it.  :smt044 I jointed the AOTY  :smt044 If everybody is afraid of "Beginers Luck" watchout!! The beginers will give you a run for your money. And that is my .02 cents worth  :smt006

Yeah, looks like white is the new blue.  I'm not so sure that the half inch he self-deducted is enough.  Dan, when in doubt lay the fish on top of the tape.

I guess being one of the many noobies this year I should hang out and not sign up but with the nice bag and "door prize" goodies I may have to change that thought.  At least I can sport the new bling bling on the yak.  With all the experiance out there it is quite intimidating.  I know all of you are there to help us virgins out and I would like to speak for all of them or at least most of them we say thanks.  I just hope we get that beginners luck and can finish.... well let's just say in better than expected position.

Thanks to John Shultress of Wind Toys.  Always a very stand up guy and great to talk with.  Thanks for the support.  I guess I have to buy more catamaran stuff from him now too. :smt002

Since there is a kids, ladies and Open class what about a senior class. :smt044

Hey OB!  sign up or YOU WILL REGRET IT LATER....example#1- my brother did not and on his first solo trip got a 10lb LMB and would have had that catagory wrapped up for the year.      don't worry about that $40!  you'll burn that in gas just going to the baitshop!
wellworthit! :smt002

A quick update Hook1 is throwing in a $50 gift certificate and some swag into the prize pool. They will also be donating some stuff to the captain bag.

Current entry count is 41 anglers.
