Those who camp for a GS event hold a special place in my heart.  I, personally, need a roof and a bed!   :smt004

when is the potluck?  I bought an embarrassing amount of beer for the gang. two flavors.  coors light, and 805.

I am packing so light!  small tent, air pad, sleeping bag.   food, will be a loaf of bread and cold cuts for breakfast and lunch.  hah.  I googled that there is a microwave available, so I will pack a prepped meal, just in case.  kayak and fishing gear takes up precious Toyota tacoma space quickly.

Installed a kayak rack on my Maverick so I can truck top my kayak to Shelter Cove instead of using the hitch extender.

Looks good Sonny! I’ve been looking at the Maverick as my old Mazda has eclipsed the 200k mark. Just washed it today so it’ll be presentable for yet one more GS.
I spent an hour going over my rods and tackle this afternoon, all the while thinking “and I’ll use like, a single swim bait”…lol

The potluck starts at 530 at the campground pavilion and patio - immediately following the Gyotaku fish printing event at the same location.

You should be able to get fed around camp - especially at Shuland.   :smt001

The Mav's looking sharp, Sonny - glad you got it worked out.

Have a good first half of the week, everybody - see you at the Cove!   :smt007

Right on, DB - it's about the peeps.   :smt007

Nice GS7 hood, Sonny!

Speaking of "Pro Staff", we need some volunteers to help with the Gyotaku fish printing, I'm told...  It used to be much easier to whip up some collaboration through this thread.  At least a couple of dudes with ~47,000 posts between them and a few of the current diehards are on here. 11 page post - far cry from the 'back in the day' GS post.   :smt005

My Lady will definitely help out during the Gyotaku event!

Packing up raffle items today!

Received a sweet piece of artwork yesterday from Studio Abachar! I'll let y'all get the surprise of what it is at The Cove.

Mike at North Bay Tackle donated 2 $100 gift cards, Billy at Wind Toys donated 4 $50 gift cards and just got the notification that a large shipment of swimbaits from the team at Madame Lures is on the way!

My lady has been looking up some delicious food recipes for camp sharing, gotta step up our food game to the Shuland level!

Safe Travels and see y'all soon!

Thank you, Sonny!

The weather forecasts are starting to come into alignment...  Looks kinda windy.   :smt005

Like I said, I predict that we will be able to fish, but if we're shore-bound, bring your shore fishing skills!  We will still execute the tournament, Gyotaku event, raffle, awards and potluck, along with Kayak Jack's Taco Shack, Shuland and a host of other community functions to enjoy.   :smt001
