Yea B, the NCKA is just not a bunch of guys, they are family. Best kayak organization on the planet and I miss the bunch since I'm in Texas. Hope you take one day at a time and look at life as positive. That pain will pass and a new door will open.

One last piece of advice from me…. Just because a new door opens doesn't mean you should charge on in. Walk around the yard a bit and peek in the windows first.

Perfect.  Give a couple sniffs as well.

Sorry to hear for your loss and I am going thru the same thing. I could tell things were shaky for a while but didn't pay attention to the signs but to be honest, it has been over a year separated and I fell much better now. The only real hard part is the time away from my boys, I can't stand being in their life every day but we are getting through it. I swear hanging out at all the events and chills NCKA has, it really is nice! Stay strong brother it will get better and now you can go fishing more!

I don't think we've ever met or fished together, but I ALWAYS enjoy your posts. I think we probably have the same sense of humor because I often read your replies and think to myself, 'Hahaha I was going to say the same thing!'  So if you ever want to fish down here in Monterey bay area, definitely hit me up. Shore, boat, kayak, beach, whatever. I have spare yak & gear too.

Hey Brian,
Met you by chance a couple times.
Let me know if you want to paddle the rock wall or hit up HMB or a different spot for dungies sometime (when the swell comes down).

Sorry to hear- my wife just left me on New Years Day after 7 years of marriage! I raised her daughter, and she was "Mom" to my two little ones since they were in diapers, who are now 9 and 11! Had to break my kids hearts and tell them, move my daughter to a new middle school, etc. Now I'm just trying to save my home! It's weird being in an empty house with my dogs half the time. But, you know what they say:

1. I got 99 problems, and a bitch 'aint one
2. The best way to get over someone is to get underneath someone else (or go fishing)

I guess we all have a real reason to sing to blues now. She was my second wife, and I did not wait long enough to heal after the first divorce; I tried to fill the void and create a family for my kids that was doomed from the get-go. I'm trying to not do that again this time. Never getting married again, that's for sure.

looking back to the signs . . . ?

Like, if she puts "Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce" on DVR series record, including re-runs, is that a solid harbinger of impending equitable division of community assets?
