John Travolta: While filming in Auburn
Brad Pitt signed my Anatomy text book (the only thing I had with me) on set in Budapest while filming Spy Games.
I got to hang out with John Cusak at a party @ Gellert in Budapest.
Avram Hershko (Nobel Prize - Chemistry) took me and a few colleagues out to dinner in 06 (Also Budapest).
I also met a distant relative in Budapest who went by the screen name "Cicciolina". Maybe some of you have seen her work   :smt044

Flew from SFO to Heathrow last night on virgin Atlantic.  While checking in at VA counter in SF, none other than Richard Branson pops up behind the counter.  He was walking the line, shaking hands, saying cheerio to his employees.  Then he checked in on same flight to London, he in first class, we in low class lol.

What a charismatic and charming man.  You could tell his employees adored him.

I think running into someone famous is cool, but does anyone have any highschool memories of people that grew up to be famous? I have heard a few tales in my life about that and it is pretty good stuff.

I went to middle school with a guy named Gary Dobyns, not world famous but a lot of fishermen have heard of him,and his sister Gay was a good friend of mine, not as good as i would hae liked though lol.

Weds night, I attended a board meeting of the Institute for Sports Law at SCU.  The board mixes academic types, team execs, athletes, and lawyas.

I met Ronnie Lott, what a nice guy.  Friendly, charismatic, and approachable.  Very easy to like (even if he did attend USC lol).

I sat next to a certain renowned woman soccer player.  To paraphrase and w/o giving you any context, she told me, “You could be like Barry Sanders for all I know.  But you don’t look much like an athlete.”  It was one of those OMG moments.  I guess when you are that certain renowned soccer player, its OK to say that to a short Asian dude LOL.   :smt044

+1, at a Giants game several years back with my oldest, who at the time was 2, maybe 3 and I've got my hands full with her and food with about 20 minutes prior to game time and he's heading back to the broadcast booth and holds the door for me so we can get to our seats.

I ran as a Medic at Giants Games for 9 years... met him and Krup all the time....

Krup is really outstanding and always a extremely positive/friendly person....

Always very Kool Guys....  and another one was Rich Aurilia...  after the games, I had to be the last one out... always watching the the players fly past the kids after the game by the parking lot without so much as a wave...

not Rich,,,  he would walk out there and sign autographs till he could walk over to 3rd and king and wait for the light to turn green without a single person bugging for a autograph...

He always signed them all....   :smt004
