That’s quite cool. 20 miles would be further than I would want to (be able to?)peddle. Do the sail attachments on Outbacks do much?

If a seagull poops on you, statistically it was no accident.

Mr X sent me a few texts on the water yesterday, and here are a couple things that I don’t think have showed up in this thread yet…

Once the wind picked up, it seems he was sailing at a steady 5-6 mph.

Also, when he was out in the middle of nowhere, the DFW game wardens stopped him to check his fishing license!
I don't like stuff that sucks.

I used to sail my Hobie Adventure (same as a Revo 16) before I got the full AI setup. While you can certainly get a boost from the small sail, speed-wise it’s not comparable to a TI or AI. If you had AI-sized amas, you might be able to fly an AI-sized sail, but at that point, you just as well get an AI…

Xia treated me to brunch kindly for the ride and we ended up at the Santa Cruz Dinner to eat and chat.  His stories of this and his previous crossings are pretty amazing.  He's truly a unique individual, but I'll wait to add more to this after he shares his story.   :smt002

No thanks.
And salmon season closed on October 2 for our region.
