Camping at Laguna Seca.  I plan to now at least podium in the tourney with a 12 oz. rockfish now that the heavy hitters have bowed out.   :smt044

Bringing firewood and some beer.  Last year fires were OK at LS and I didn't see any restrictions on the site so far.

It looks like a great weekend ahead!

Well, I won’t be able to come down the night before so 230am alarm it is!

Anyone have any intel on squid in the area? I have never tried for squid, but impulse bought a squid jig thinking I might be able to get some for either food or bait.

Finding squids is hit or miss.  Last week I heard they were found around the red buoy but I tried this week and none were there.  Another good area is in front of the hotel in 90 fow.  Good lucks and let me know if you found them.

I'm hoping to fish around 11:30 to 4 or 5 on Friday. It might be a little windy then.

I'll have a spare radio, if anybody wants to borrow it for the tournament. I also carry a spare mirage drive, in case anybody wants to borrow that.

Lots of live bait in the water. Jigged up a ten or so chunky sardines! Immediately picked up by something. Should be epic considering the forecast, good luck NCKAians
