City of Santa Rosa closed the neighbor park near my place.
I wonder if the County and State Parks will extend our parking passes?

That’s happening all over our area, too.

Dunno, right now they prolly really want to, but only time will tell - the loss of PIT monies may be huge for lots of programs, venues/facilities.

Hang tight, guys!  You're in the thick of it, and shit's getting real.  Everyone's got to do their part.

I just got back from Costco and Winco in Eureka - washed the groceries, deconned myself, and now a beer on the couch with the TV off is feeling like pretty good quality.

Stilll a vacation for me, no money coming in, people are being generous that we know. A family bought us a pizza today!  I was just telling my wife today how all the good tournaments and potlucks and stories I haven’t heard yet and those being created in the NCKA have come to a halt and relationships forged here must persevere.  Call a buddy and say hey is a start. Thanks for the reminder... :smt006

The grocery store situation is amazing to me.

Why aren’t the stores doing curbside or delivery only?  It seems inexcusable at this point. We have 3.2 million newly unemployed people in the country to pick up the extra labor - people that are getting free money and the great majority of whom would much rather work than be on the dole. We could easily and quickly eliminate the most glaring exception to our social distancing protocols and flatten the damn curve.  It doesn’t take a rocket surgeon to figure this out either.

Positive take Eddie.

Last night at dinner ,Wendy and I were taking stock of our situation.

We are good. I`d rather she not work at the supermarket but she`s getting her 40 hours, plus a $2.00/hr raise for working during SIP. I don`t like the risk factor but its bringing in a pay check. It`ll come in handy when they reschedule her knee surgery along with the hours for sick leave. We are lucky in that regard

I`m grateful for my retirement income which is tax free and that I had my health issues resolved last Fall.

Much to be thankful for.
Those take stick conversations can be tense...I hope your back is well as well.  Don’t sneeze and tweak it, or at least sneeze like ninja.  I sneezed a loud echoing sneeze on the water yesterday far from humans and it felt good but I wonder how many people heard it and said in their head, dang, does a sneeze travel more than 100yds in the breeze? Did I threadjack my own quote?   The boards seem to offer some solid topics and real life stuff.  See you in the virtual water...Air five, fist bump, and elbow tap, 6ft...maybe we could create a new greeting dance that becomes, viral, no pun intended... :smt006

Pics, so I believe you, that’s a solid report, my wife says we have some time left with our wipe stash...dig the legal safety garb that puts the public in check...”He’s not gonna rob this place, he’s just shopping”... :smt006

I’m starting to settle down at home with this SIP by my wife’s desires as she is putting that Whole Foods prime business to the test...I told her yesterday that I didn’t stop and buy a coke after fishing because of her hope that I stay out of consumer public life.  She ordered Cola?  From whole food delivery for the kids and we never have coke in the house so it was a treat to get one, not the same as coke yet satisfied that weird craving.  All I’m saying is the demand for delivery is high and most of our needs(“wants”)  are being fulfilled by delivery.  I would deliver if it got desperate but maybe haircut deliveries for starters.  Might freak out the kids though if I showed looking like Tote to deliver a haircut...how to employ the unemployed and fill the needs of balance in health and economy...sigh...

The list of State Park Closures grows every day.  Folsom Lake is now closed to vehicles.

Same here, Costco here in Santa Cruz was very civilized, with limited customers in the store and huge sneezeguards for the checkers. Was a more pleasant shopping experience than some I've had there before this thing happened. Alcohol wipes, spray, and hand sanitizer are now all part of the shopping routine.

I dressed appropriately for a drive through the apocalypse!
