Thanks - I was not challenging what you were saying, just sharing some datapoints (spending way too much online these days)

It's always great to hear first-hand experience, especially at the time like this. And thanks for being there, on a frontline, while we are sitting home  :smt006

I haven't heard anything about the construction industry. I work as a carpenter for a big company here in Sonoma County. They have me remodeling a tasting room for a winery in Napa county. All the lumber yards are open and we have plasterers, electricians, concrete guys on the job also. The winery is closed for coronavirus. My boss said he couldn't make us go to work but sort of implied there might be repercussions if we don't go. It feels kind of silly to be out and at risk so they can get their pretty tasting room on time.

Construction industry is considered critical.  All building supply stores, hardware stores, etc are to remain open.  While it may be that a remodel of a winery is superfluous, it stands to reason that sheltering in place only works if the house is fully functional.  How would someone replace a water heater for example, if the hardware stores and contractors were closed and ordered to shelter in place?

Doing my part by staying home. I did spend 15 minutes yesterday practicing jig pitching in my swimming pool. I'm gonna be ready when they let us out!

This is from the FAQ section of the SMC SIP order.  This may seem at odds with the other FAQ regarding fishing that possibly limits fishing to commercial fisherman.  My interpretation is that kayak fishing is still OK.  Im looking for other's interpretations as well.  Has anyone been approached by LE and told to not fish yet?  Targeting Sunday morning OP, but want to be careful not to attract negative attention by not staying home.

I can see a good portion of the bay out of my back window and there were 12  power boats fishing yesterday, and 11 right now. I do not see any kayaks. I got all loaded up yesterday and then changed my mind this morning. So now am just watching ff how to videos.

Staying at home is a great opportunity to drive the wife nuts just weeks away from fishing season so she'll be happy to see me gone!  Honey do list whittled down.  Yard and garden way ahead of last spring.  Camping and fishing gear ready to go.  Still plenty of time to pour more shad lead heads and put in an order to Cabela's for all the gear I leave on the bottom.  Stay healthy out there!

Great point.  Build WAF, supplement with annoyance.  Basically, tee it up, then drive it down the middle.   :smt006

They closed the golf courses in Marin.  Ooooooo..."supplement with annoyance"...amazing how she has her routines when I am working...been breaking a few of those patterns...yikes yet real...I told her there's gonna be a lot of babies created in this season and she balanced the tables by reminding that there might be a lot of divorces this season as well. :smt006
“I’m going fishing.”  They said, “we will go with you.”

So go fishing already. :smt006 This whole thing is insanely over blown. Can’t wait to see how the circus goes, and I’m glad I don’t live in a highly populated area.

When does the rioting and looting start?
I hope it doesn't escalate to that level.
