As I am still exploring different options for another fishing kayak brand I am curious to see what everyone thinks of Hobie and which styles are more popular. This is just a question and does not mean we will be carrying Hobie.

IMO the Revo and Outback probably are the most popular among Hobie owners.

Between my buddy and myself we have 2 outbacks, 2 revos, 1 PA 14 and 1 oasis.
By far the outbacks see the most time otw.

I loooooove my Revo 13. Seriously a sexy sleek boat.  Does everything I need very well, and is quite easy to manage as a smaller dude.

something like the revo. is a great kayak, but I think something like the outback is way more popular.

I like how my revo gets through waves, and on a flat lake you can lean it super hard and take a tight corner, and still be able to toss it on top of my truck easily.

but I do believe an outback is more popular with more deckspace and Carrying capacity.

Do you have the 11,13, or 16?

Smaller guys, the revo is great, especially maneuverability. For bigger guys, may have trouble with revo. Outback preferred I guess

Revo13 is a great all around kayak, but I would guess renters might need some seat time to feel comfortable with the "looser" primary stability.  I would think that the Compass would make for a better rental fleet yak because of its similar stability to the Outback but less expensive.

I voted Revo & Compass. Because MBK seems to have a slightly different demographic than just anglers. Both are great yaks for non-fishers. The compass has a better price point and may be more attractive to the average customer there. Just my 2c :-)

Probably Outback is the easiest for new folks. I have not tried Revo 13 yet, but everyone raves about it. Also what about AI/TI?

I know of several people who started with an Outback, but switched to a Revo 13 after 1-2 years.  Revo is handles better in the surf, if that matters to you.  Plus a bit lighter helps when with car-topping and dragging up/down the beach.

+1  I picked up this 2014 Revo for the Lady, and ... I'm really enjoying it :)  I'm sure I'll let her use it soon...

Thank you! I will keep that in mind. At one point, I ordered a Revo 13 for myself along with 4 other Hobie. The dealer made a mistake on one of the Outback so my friend decided to take my Revo instead. Of course the last few weeks, I have been working on AI deals. Bought 3 all out of state. We all pretty happy now.
