NCKA Diver Death in Baja

Those on FB may have already seen that Rob Luiz (Sir Rob IV) died last week while on a diving trip to Baja...

All details are not known yet, but I am sure more information will be shared later...

Rob was a Coast Guard Veteran, Husband, Father to two young girls, a solid diver and a great guy...

He won our 2016 DOTY comp and was always fun to be around....

Rob's sister in law also sent me a message asking if I could help get her a contact list of his diving/spearing buddies...if you want me to pass along your info to her just PM me your name/email/phone number.

RIP Rob, you will be missed...

So bummed for so many reasons - especially for his wife and kids. I'm really grateful for all the support people have given them so far.

I lost my pops when I was a teen and it was super difficult. I'd encourage everyone that is close to his family to lean in closer over the next few years. Community definitely helped me get through the loss and I'm confident it will for them as well.
