OK people, we kinda wanna know who is staying at the farmhouse & when everybody is coming...?

I'm coming up on Friday to tour the lab and camp on both Friday and Saturday nights. I would be happy to help with the setup/cleanup or whatever. I'm bringing brownies for the Saturday BBQ unless you tell me you need something else.

BTW, I would really like to find someone who is willing to "buddy up" on the water. I know my skill set (paddling, rescue/recoveries, distance, surf) so I am very careful about choosing the conditions under which I paddle. I'll stretch my wings but will not throw caution to the wind because I don't want to jeopardize my safety or that of others for the sake of fun. Anyone who is willing to volunteer?

Adam, you not gonna stay!?  We gonna have a burn fire on the beach!  The fire can't start until after dark, you know!?

Thanks Janice & that's awesome that you can make it to the lab tour!
You'll see lots of different species of rockfish in the tank!

Yeah, sound like the wind picking up
10-20 KTs!?but that's off shore masure & it also said that "patchy fog", so probably OK until 11am or so.
If that's the case then I might driving up to Fort Ross at twilight then get out water by 10am, or depends on the swell in front of my house, it's quick in & out...

I just got the green light from the Mrs. and also Chuck to use his Macski. I was hoping to crash on the property and sleep in the back of my small truck. Do the cops care if you sleep on the side of the highway? Is this the beach they filmed the Toyota comercial with the red truck and the helicopter? It was the weekend of the crab opener two seasons ago.
As I posted earlier, I was thinking about Goat Rock and then I realized they probably have a gate that probably opens way after sunrise. Does anybody know? I could launch at Jenner inside the mouth for a while but I'd just be hooking a fish for a seal.
If there's no gate at Ft. Ross then maybe there isn't one at Goat Rock. Thank You ahead of time. Tim

Almost.  This is the beach that Toyota filmed the time lapse surf cam of the kayaker going out and the tide coming in, taking away his Toyota in the surf and when the tide goes out the Toyota floats back and the kayaker paddles in as if nothing happened.  Oh and Victoria's Secret had a shoot there recently as well.

Do you have anymore space for a tent? I will be up Friday night. I would like to find someone to fish with as I am not familiar with the area.

Mooch, the hot bite is now, not necessarily Saturday when the winds pick up again.  You need to call in sick tomorrow and fish Moss ASAP and then come up for our little derby.  Besides who wants to be out on a kayak at Moss on the weekend with all the other weekend warriors in PBs.  Be safe!

Hi Tim, totally fine park & sleep on the property.
If you are brave enough to launch from the Goat Rock, you'll totally able to launch from in front of the house.
& I don't think Fort Ross closes the gate.  just self register.

Are you serious!?!?  Mooch, you're gonna miss burn fire of life time...

Hi Steve, actually not many people are camping here, so yeah we still have room!
I'm actually going out tomorrow, but if the ocean is too nice, I might go out in front of the house for quick try.

Renee and I will bring two tables and 12 chairs for the BBQ.
Thanks Bill, that would be super!!!  Now we need catch some fish for the prints!
