Fishing: Seattle VS San Diego ?

You hate it so much but yet you wont move from where you live....so there is something you must like about the greatest State in the Country.....

I also hate this state with a passion. There are so many reasons to hate this state and I dont want to rant on about all of them. State of Jefferson would be awesome but that wont happen any time soon. The only reason... and I mean only reason why I still live here is because of family. I sure most of the reasons of why Californias havent left are between family and work. Family is everything and I dont want to live more than 30 min away from most of my family members. Hopefully in the next 5-6 years we will all be living up one state along the coastline... That's if this state doesent burn to a crisp before then. Never know anymore with how these fires have been.

The original post asked where the best fishing was (San Diego or Seattle).  I imagine it will depend on where his girlfriend decides to go to school anyway. 

I agree that there is much to dislike about this State and much to like about this State.  Wildfires aren't going to go away by breaking California into 2, 3, 6 or how ever many parts people propose.  (nor will it eliminate the far left or the far right in the political spectrum, but it would shift each region one way)  I to hope to live along a coast in the next 10 to 15 years.  California is over taxed and over regulated with some crazy laws that just don't work.  On the other hand, we have some of the best land and resources in the world.   I do think that people choose to live and stay here for what California has to offer as well as family and work.  It doesn't take much to pick up and move to Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, or wherever you want to go.  (Unless part of your family is not ambulatory then that is a different story). 

It's a tough choice, for sure. I think given the choice, I'd opt for San Diego for the fishing potential/proximity to Mexico.

Most Californians (crash and Allen excluded) aren't on our most favored guest list up here in Oregon, either - but that's another tale, isn't it.

I’m a state of Jefferson proponent. I hate California by definition. I hate it so much that I want to leave it, and I want to take 20 counties with me.

Jefferson would do nothing but take more tax dollars than it gives in.  It would be just another leach from California and a few other contributors.  Take the entire state and leave the union.

Fine, you hate that people that don't live under your circumstances that aren't in your area pass laws that you disagree with.  I don't like a lot of the laws that are passed either.  I also don't like that the cost of a home is ridiculously high and if i moved to North Dakota I could live on 100 acres and have a 5000 sq ft home for half the price a home costs in "my area", but I still choose to live and work in California because there ain't no way I'm moving to North Dakota.

  Curious as to what laws and regulations that have been passed that have infringed upon your rights or ability to make a living that has impacted you so much that you want to form a new State or break from the Union (Some State of Jefferson folks will argue for the former while some will argue for the latter).

Can a moderator break out the SOJ stuff into a different thread?  I don’t want to hinack this one anymore than I already have.
