I can’t quite figure out whats going on here. But it almost seems like this guys was trying to commit suicide by shark.

I look at the video frame-by-frame from 2:34 - 2:45.  He jumped onto water to retrieve the 3 white things (I think they're some kind of shard deterrence devices).  I could be wrong about the device but he definitely not fell in.
