(update 7/7/17 11:30am)

This is a Go!  Just a change of launch point, from Linda Mar to Rockaway beach.  Plan is to go one mile out, then 2 miles north.  Launch sometimes between 6:30-7:00.  Probably earlier.  See page 5+ on hookup.

Saturday
SW wind 6 to 9 kt. Mostly sunny. Mixed swell...NW 2 to 3 ft at  9 seconds and SSW 2 ft at 14 seconds. Wind waves 1 to 2 ft.

(original posting)

If everything lined up, I am going for it.  Pending lots of thing right now, but hey, let's start the planning ....

I am still in need for a fish finder and radio but I should have a radio by then...still need to save some money for the fish finder I want. BTW this would only be my second time going out, so I understand if you dont want a noob  :smt006

You are welcome to come along, but just be aware that this will be a surf launch & landing.  You need to be comfortable with that.  Also, I have a pedal kayak, so I'll be all over the place, likely at a faster speed than your paddle kayak.  I would recommend that your next outing to be from HMB instead of from a surf (I have a surf champ kayak, Santa Cruz Raptor G2, though the Kraken is very very good as well).

Here is some launch & landing vid courtesy of KPD and B0B

Haha yeah linda mar is no joke for surf launching and landing. Ariel took me out and I was worried coming in. I've been surf launching for years and if I'm worried...well enough said.

Anyhow I'm game for sunday.   :smt044 :smt044 :smt044

Linda Mar's surf area is very long, so the chance of garage sale is high.  Although I still give Bolinas as the punch champion.

Bolinas at new Brighton is not that bad. Only one set to get through so don't f up. Lol. I hate long zones. More time to garage sale.

Linda Mar can be messy on the way back in but if needed you could probably land on the rocks to the South and recruit your buddies to help haul you junk up the small cliff. This is also the place I learned from an older fellow who fished there ofter how to come in to the beach landing backwards.

Worst I had it there rolled, got everything straightened out and as I was celebrating yak got rolled again on to rocks and snapped my Penn 525 mag off the rod never to be seen again......
