Thanks to BSteves for re-writing my super nasty old code into sweet goodness. I am not a programmer, I break things for a living  :smt003

You can create and account and upload your fish even if you are not entered. If you have entered setup your account and I will login and make you an official participant. You can also enter as many fish as you want, the system will only count your biggest fish of each species for the total points.

New URL is http://aoty.ncka.org

Have fun and good luck!

As Bill mentioned, I'm to blame for any problems this year.  So feel free to PM me if you don't understand something or you think something isn't working right.  I'll do my best to fix it.

Also, in case it wasn't clear, your fish don't count towards the leaderboard unless you've paid and Bill has had a chance to mark your account as paid in the database that runs this thing.

Worked awesome, looks great, but my fish are not showing on the leader board for some reason.  Nice job Brian!

Hey Sean, they won't show until Bill enters the date you paid into AOTY into the database.  Depending on Bill's schedule this may take a day or so.  I haven't checked, but I'm guessing Bill has already read this and added your dates.

Also, you can always check to see if your fish are really in the system by clicking on the species icon in the banner.  This will list all of the fish (AOTY eligable or otherwise) for the species clicked.

I try to check it at least once a day to get any dates updated. If you think you should be entered and you don't see your entries in a day or 2 just send me a PM and I will check it out.

Everyone should join!  :smt003

Feel free to signup and enter your fish even if you aren't participating in AOTY.  Although, I have to warn you, nothing is more frustrating that having an otherwise winning fish that doesn't count because you haven't paid yet.  Just ask FisHunter. (You have paid this year haven't you Adam?)

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Dustin,

Don't sweat it.  I know you split your time between kayak fishing and shore/jetty fishing.  I bet you get out a lot more than most of us.  BTW, any luck with jetty lings yet this year?  I actually haven't even had a chance to try.

I would love to use that as an excuse, but I haven't fished the jetty since September or October.  :smt009

For the better part of last year I was out fishing for "other things". But one of the "other things" I had previously CNR'ed found her way back to me.  :smt008

Still trying to decide whether or not that was a good thing....   :smt044

Danglin,

Your fish isn't in the running until Bill enters the date you paid AOTY fees into the database.  This takes up to a day or two after you sign on to the AOTY site.  However, if you click on the little sturgeon icon in the banner it shows up.

I bet by tomorrow your fish will be up on the leader board.
