Oversized sturgeon... that would fall under rule #6 and the answer is no.

Quote
6. No out off season or oversize (fish larger than the legal limit per species) may be entered.

Right now the program doesn't have the legal size limits included so if you enter an illegal fish the application won't catch it and you will temporarily get points.  However, Bill has the power to delete that fish for the board if it doesn't qualify for any reason (out of season, under/oversize, no proper photographic evidence, etc..)

It looks like the Leader board is counting multiple fish instead of limiting it to the single largest fish.

It looks like the Leader board is counting multiple fish instead of limiting it to the single largest fish.

And what math are you doing?   SCWAfish is the current AOTY leader with 715 pts...  a 180 pt largemouth, a 175 pt smallmouth, a 150 pt striped bass and a 210 pt trout... this totals to 715 pts.    If you can point me to an example where the leader board is wrong, please let me know so I can fix it.

Sean has also posted some other fish to the site which aren't included here including a LMB that was only good for 136 pts and a smaller striped bass that would have been 130 pts.  These two fish aren't counted towards his total points becuase he had other fish in these species that were larger.  One of the new improvements this year is that you can enter as many fish as you want, but the leaderboard only counts your single largest fish from each species.

To see total points check out the leader board.
http://aoty.ncka.org/leaderboard/list

To see the top3 fish in each species click on the Top3Fish tab.
http://aoty.ncka.org/species_leaders/list

Unlike last year you can see all the fish submitted either by anlger or by species...

To see all the fish posted by a single person click on their name.  For example Sean's fish...
http://aoty.ncka.org/leaderboard/list_by_angler/7

To see all the fish submitted for a single species click on the fish icon in the banner for that species.  For example largemouth bass...

Heres a question for the rule makers. I am going on a houseboat trip middle of May. If I use the house boat to transport the kayak from the launch to were ever we park it for the week and then fish from the kayak will my catch be disqualified for the AOTY?

Rule #1 states all fish entered must be caught from a kayak, without the aid of a powerboat and using methods deemed legal by the California Department of Fish and Game.

Will this be considered the aid of a powerboat?

My bad, I just looked at Sean's page and saw that there were multiple fish points listed.

Didn't anyone catch a rockfish, cabezon or lingcod down south yet?  AOTY is currently empty for all three species.  Now is your chance to be in the lead of a species or two (at least until June when it opens for us up here :)).
