Pre-AOTY Fishing/MBF - Feb 11, 2017 @ Lake Chabot - Spons by me, myself, and you

Hi All,

As noted in the other thread, there has been a venue change for the AOTY ceremony/awards to Lake Chabot.  I am continuing the MBF/Pre fishing offer at Chabot.  I will still bring donuts.  I am changing the "weigh in" time to 12pm noon, as we are starting the potluck at that time.

Park Rules:
Parking is $5.
Trailered vehicles are $4 extra.
No power boats allowed.  Kayaks are $2 each for launching.
There is a watercraft inspection - $4
Fishing Fee is $5.
Dog Fee is $2.
No smoking allowed in the park.
Drinking of Beer & Wine are fine. 
Allowed to cook in the designated picnic area.

I am also thinking about a no judge, honor system $5 entry FRIENDLY MBF.  3 fish, AOTD (Angler of the Day) format, have to "weigh in" by 12pm that day.  Don't need to prove your fish with pictures, although pictures would be awesome as you could enter them for AOTY.  There are bass, trout, catfish and panfish available at the lake.  The lake has planted over 2000lbs of trout over the last two weeks.  The MBF is open to both kayak fishermen and shore fishermen.  To sign up the morning of the event, find my car (White Subaru) and the sign in sheet.  Just write your name down on it, committing yourself to the $5 MBF.  You don't have to pay up until the weigh in time.

Confirming what time Keg and pig will be there and will for sure be there by then to help unload and keep them safe 

If keg/pig aren't arriving early will still get there early with some beer cuz want to make sure I have plenty of time to set up tables/prizes/kayaks etc.

Yeah I scheduled getting off the water by 1 to make sure I have time to help you set up as necessary. I'll probably be off earlier than that and others are encouraged to do the same

We will be there, Backwoods BA will prob want to fish, so will drop him off with the pack. I will chill on the shore with y'all. GF and her boy probably too, might try to get him on some fish from shore. I can bring my cook station if anyone wants to cook breakfast or brew coffee. I just need help carrying and setting it up.

If we are pot lucking it before I would say start around 12

We should have a pot luck start time it seems so we can all chill together

Please Howard...I think Adventure Sports MAY have some we can use but I haven't gotten confirmation of that yet...with the prizes/plaques/food etc it is always a good idea to have a LOT of tables!
