I'll be there early to start setting up prizes etc. but will not be paddling out.

Non-anglers welcome to chill with me and drink beer and tell lies.

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

Jim,
What time do you think your going to be there.  I can show up early to help out.  (drink beer that is.  JK  :smt005 )

Tim

I'll let you know Tim!!

Confirming what time Keg and pig will be there and will for sure be there by then to help unload and keep them safe  :smt002

If keg/pig aren't arriving early will still get there early with some beer cuz want to make sure I have plenty of time to set up tables/prizes/kayaks etc.

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim
Need tables?

Please Howard...I think Adventure Sports MAY have some we can use but I haven't gotten confirmation of that yet...with the prizes/plaques/food etc it is always a good idea to have a LOT of tables!

Thank you!

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim
Will bring at least three tables

Tentative plan is that I will be there by 9/10am to start setting up and chilling and sipping off the keg.

Pig should be ready to eat by noon...

Awards starting at 2...

AOTY question: Do small dog bites go against size? Harry likes to bite the fish as I measure and take pics.

I have to say that's the most interesting question I've seen about AOTY yet.  They would not affect it.  I'm assuming you're talking about taking bites out of fish that you've kept and are bringing home rather than measuring and releasing on the water, which is sounding even stupider as I type this, yet I'm not going to delete it.

Short answer - go for it.  make sure he doesn't bite off a portion of the tail which will make it shorter, and make sure you don't "gut" the fish before the pictures per our rules.

It was more in jest than anything else. He has yet to bite anything off. It's more of a nip. I cant remember him ever puncturing a fish.

Make sure the mouth is closed...

Update on launching:

Launching your kayak from Big Break Marina costs $10.  I'm still gonna try a ninja launch off Adventure's boat dock and try not to pay a fee.

So is that what everyone who plans on launching should try and do?

Or is that something that could make us look bad as a group and upset our host and AOTY sponsor?

AOTY Committee has the lead on this year's location so will defer to your judgment...

They should plan to pay a $10 boat launch fee.  Anything else is up to them.

What can we hope to catch there with the conditions we have now?
