Wild water.... Considering just chillin from shore. We are so wet up here in the sac foothills. Downstream has got to be a mess!!! Road conditions and flooding on sat? Hope we can get there!!!
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

might be a good idea. can always stay inside of the protection of the marina, which is pretty calm.  You can also rent or try out a new kayak from Adventure sports at their free demo day.

I am betting viz will be low. Most of the water hyacinth is gone. My guess is that soaking cut bait for stripers will be the best bet for them. I plan on going for panfish with Ronny, my gf's kid from shore.

I'm bringing my yak in case it's good enough to go out. I'm also bringing a chair in case I am fishing from shore.

Hi all, please see updates in first post.  We have a venue change, but the MBF will go on as planned!  Remember, this is a friendly MBF.

I changed a couple of rules for the MBF -
1. Shore fishing is allowed if you choose not to bring a kayak.
2. weigh in will now be at 12pm noon, to facilitate the start of our potluck!

Yes. You have to wheel your kayak next to the office. That's where they do the inspection. They were very thorough the last few times I went there.

re: inspections: most of the times I've been there they've either been pretty haphazard or only superficially thorough (ie: look at everything, overlooking some stuff that would fail you at del Valle). But BRING WHEELS IF YOU HAVE 'EM. The trek to the inspection area from the parking lot is further than you'd want to carry most yaks.

I'll be there when the gate opens at 6 or maybe a few min after.  Gotta find some donuts.  Gonna take a little bit of time to help out Marv before i try to hit the water for like 3 hours.  I'm going to fish light, just trout stuff and do a tour of the lake to test out my FF again.

Gotta find some donuts.

If you're coming in off of 580E, Slikker's is my go-to, and only about 300 yards out of the way (in the Rite Aid parking lot):
