Chuckies good mojo

Well Guys... it was great hanging with you all today. It looked like a yak sturgeon fest out there. The weather couldn't have been better. It's also great that there are a couple of sturgeon virgins no more... What a day. Dinos were rolling and jumping pretty much the whole time out there. Some were as thick as telephone poles. No love for me today but seeing Chuckee bring one in made my day. At first, it was hard to tell what he had on. He was stealthy about it... until it ran on him. That fish dragged him about 40 yards... while he was still anchored up. I think that put the hurt on the fish because, once he popped up... he was done. I went over to Chuck to get some pix and the whole time I was paddling to him, I couldn't figure what the hell he was doing. He was playing with his snare. He had trouble getting it around his pole because he had his pole leashed. His mind was probably racing... Once snared... that dino was done. I snapped a couple of pix for the brag book and gave Chuck a couple of high fives. First thing I noticed was how much Chuckee's hands were shaking... He was pretty much speechless... nothing buy smiles. I literally saw that f'n monkey jump off of his back and into the slough. What a glorious day indeed. I had to bail before that other guys did which kind of sucked. But, it was good to chat to the guys as I paddled on by. Big ups to Mark for bringing two to the boat... too bad the new slot limit is in effect. Also, to Backslider... I didn't hear about his trophy until I caught up to him at the dock. His fish was still alive. I snapped a quick pic of his dino, gave him a high five and let him go at it with my punisher. Nice to see some dino blood on the dock... As I was driving home, I was sure that there would be at least one more sturg on the dock... but, I guess the two that were caught was enough. My only regret is that all but one of the pix I took of Chuck were lost. I was having some problems with my camera. Sorry Chuckee. All in all... a great day on Monty's.

Awesome day, great group, rockin' fishing....NCKA at its best.  Congrats to everyone that hung a dino. 

I got some terrific video yesterday as well, should have an edited version by tomorrow.

ChuckE does so much for us regular NCKA people as fuzz said, hard to be happier

Way to go! I'm jealous, and want to try it. You've proven it CAN be done.
Sturgeon have just moved into first place as the next target species.
Even if I didn't hook up, I'd get a kick just out of watching the fish rolling around me.

Chuck, I'd say that got your mind off of Alaska for a few minutes anyway. Congrats.

ChuckE what fish is next on your list?

Hmmmm.... Yellowtail and White Sea Bass are high on my list, but there's not any pressure to get one of those since they're not common to our fishery. 

Hey ChuckE/Backslider, I submitted my sturgeon to La Jolla's everyday fishing tourney, It was disqualified because I did'nt have the weight or " Qualifying Image" Maui Jim sticker. You should send yours, you have " The Weight" at least, let So Cal were on the " March "....Danglin
