I am still new to all this but $23. For a limit of lingcod and rockfish seems reasonable. Plus the excitement of kayak fishing in the Pacific ocean. I will go back for sure.

I'm pretty sure ocean cove charges extra to drive down the hill also. Only with Timbe Cove you actually have a beach. $23 is pretty high I agree. I believe the total would be less if you camp since there won't be a day use fee, just the drive down fee. Having the nice beach compared to the cramped rocky sliver of a launch at Ocean Cove is worth something extra.

SWN is still free as far as I know, drop your gear, park on the road, wheel to the beach, a few stairs,

There will always be some that will pay ridiculous prices.

I have no problem paying for parking but never understood any place that just keeps tacking on stuff.  Day fee, parking, launch fee etc.  come on just one fee my kayak is not damaging a ramp or dock.

I think they just wanted to thin the crowd.  If you can get the same amount of money for one kayaker as you would for three why not.  Two less people and vehicles to deal with and they will have less fishing pressure.  It's starting to make sense.

That road aint going to last forever. Maybe, just maybe she is going to improve the place. We all know it needs it. So does anyone know just what the situation is as to why she is raising the rates or are you all just hard on people who run a business. I used to think that Albion was a rip off for 35 buck square of dirt until you get on the water.

Maybe she hasn't done any maintenance in many years. Maybe she is just getting greedy. Maybe she is just trying to price out those pesky kayakers. Or maybe she just thinks thats a fair price. I don't know but there is no way i am gonna pay $23 to launch a kayak there. That woman has gone mad. She went to high school with my buddy junior at EL molino in Forrestville. He said she was smoking hot fine and all the boys wanted her.
