I noticed confusion and gave Brenda a call. This is the new policy:

$15.00 to use ramp ( ramp fee), this only covers launch and unload/pickup and must be done in 15 minutes. It does not cover use fee per boat.

In addition to ramp fee $8.00 per boat use fee is due.

Example: I take my truck and two boats down and launch them,  it would be $31.00

If you are camping at TC these fees are not applicable.

Brenda suggests calling her with any questions 707.847.3278

Isn't it similar to Ocean Cove prices?

I guess a once in awhile thing maybe.  Good thing I don't live close because I would abandon that spot especially if I had to walk up and down the hill anyways.

It is similar to Ocean Cove and yes I would be walking the road twice as we will need to park on top.

Wow, that pricing is insane.  Especially for a kayak.

Oh well, their loss.

Eight to ten bucks for a drive to beach launch then park on top is reasonable but more than than that makes OC a better deal. Seven dollars at OC if the yak is wheeled to the launch, fifteen if driven. Yeah, pulling the yak back up is laborious but less so than negotiating  the rock obstacles and steep beach sand of SWN.

Wow!  I have been a big fan of Timber Cove for several years but $15 just to go down the hill and launch seems pretty steep to me.  I have walked the yak up and down the hill a few times but it's not an easy walk.  I think TC will be removed from my list of "Go to" spots except for when camping is part of the trip. With a bridge toll of $15 when pulling the trailer and $8 + $15 for Brenda; $38.00 plus gas is getting a little pricey!  In my retail working days we had a philosophy that 2 fast nickles was better than one slow dime.  I guess that philosophy doesn't apply to TC.  I'm gonna miss that place!

I haven't launched there since the bathroom got out of hand, all this extra cost to have a decent bathroom?  she can keep her little piece of the pie and I'll just keep playing elsewhere
