Ok, I need good-vibes sent my way and fingers crossed...there is a wine group/national company called Constellation Brands in Lodi that is looking for an HR Manager. I just applied, and I got goose bumps! I've been really wanting to work in the wine industry, so this could be a great opportunity.

Seriously, I was driving to the Headwaters Kayak shop just down the street on Thursday, saw their business sign for Constellation, and said to myself "I wonder if they need anyone"?. THEN, today I see their open HR job posting that was only just posted on Friday. Yah! The universe might be trying to tell me something.
 

I have a friend who has worked for them for many years in sales.  They're a good company with an amazing portfolio of international brands.

You should read "House of Mondavi: Rise and Fall of an American Wine Dynasty," and "Reaching for the Stars:the Making of Constellation Brands".

But only after you get hired at Constellation!  Good luck. Sounds like a fantastic opportunity, right place, justt in time.

The owner of that place went into the headwaters one day. I wish I still had his card.

Another company within the Wine Industry that has a Lodi facility is Trinchero.  Also the Wine Group has I believe facilities in Stockton..Have no idea if anything is available. 

Hope it works out for you, the wine industry is certainly fun...I work for one of their competitors

I just wanted to give a shout-out to all of those who offered words of wisdom and recommendations for jobs across California. You all gave me hope and some excellent leads on jobs, and for that I am incredibly thankful! 

SOOOOOOOOOO............drum roll please!
I am super excited, doing jumping-jacks, and high-fiving everyone because........I  accepted a job offer! I am now the AVP of HR at a local banking institution in northern California and I start next week!
The best part is that banks have lots of holidays, haha - so that means more time OTW!

Tell me about it!
I've been trying to get stuff done around the house (I even ran some wire/electrical and installed a new outdoor electrical plug for our trailer) which was good, but I'm looking forward to getting back to earning money!
