Good luck, when I was laid off last July I didn't find anything for 5 months. But what I found was worth the time off. Sign up for unemployment online.
Thanks Scott - yes, applied online for UI this weekend. I can make it a month or so, but I won't be able to survive on UI alone much after that. I am looking forward to finding a new employer where I can stay a while!

Thank you Hojo! I appreciate your links very much - I am checking them out and already have my resume updated, ready to send out. I don't want to have to commute to Sac if I can avoid it...something closer to Lodi/Stockton would be awesome.

Before this company, I worked in Sacramento and the commute just became unbearable. I was almost in so many accidents - way too stressful.

Have you thought about the educational field, a little different capacity, at least to start, work in to a Dir position?

https://www.edjoin.org/Home/JobPosting/755736

Kick around the site a bit...

You know, I would love to work in the medical industry or in education (I thought about going back to school so I could teach - I would love to teach actually), so I will definitely check out the link. Thank you so much - this is awesome to see so much help!

I would love to live in Arcata - great area Cam!
But it wouldn't work, too far from family. I appreciate the link though, and it reminded me that I should start checking Craig's List as well....

I have over 13 years of HR experience and have both national and California certifications. I am also trained in Crucial Conversations, harassment and investigation, worker's compensation, FMLA/CFRA, employee relations, health benefits, and more.

And I can paddle a kayak and fish, hehe!

Please go to work at Insperity  and take over my account.

I just looked up Insperity! Consulting would be great - I thought about that for a while and talked with an HR group up in Sacramento to get an idea of what was involved. Are you having issues with your current rep? I will go to their web site and see if they have any openings! hehe.

I thought you were still working in Sacramento; therefore the links.

Sorry to hear about your job loss.

If you need something to fill the gap between jobs, there is work in Auburn ~ $23/hour.

I realize this may be too far, but I just wanted to throw it out there.

Livermore is not to far from you.  Try the Lab.  They seem to have several openings that fits your experience.

I'm pretty sure one of out HR managers at Budweiser just relocated, there may be an opening there, if not now then soon I would imagine. I don't know anything about the salary side of the house, but it's probably at least worth keeping an eye out on buschjobs.com
