Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

Just crawled into my house after fun times, good food and drinks with my NCKA family. Was there since Weds afternoon and never got OTW/ITW  :smt044

Backed up my truck to my garage and unloaded all my clean gear still packed the way it went up to GSX.

I'm all packed and ready for Albion  :smt001

Another outstanding event Abking.  I want to thank you and Claire for all of the hard work you two did over the weekend.  ATD thank you for running the team side of GSX.  Big Jim awesome job with the raffle.

First of all I need to congratulate my brother on the butt whopping he gave on Saturday.  Every fish my brother caught were all bigger than my biggest.  Secondly, I would like to tell Kiet that I really enjoyed watching him reel in his big fish and listen to him hoop and holler with excitement.

My fishing report for the weekend was as follows:  Saturday I spent 6 of the 7.5 hours on the water trolling for salmon and only used 8 pieces of bait.  I only stopped trolling when my brother asked me to catch a couple of lings (23" & 24") to enter into the team competition.  My fish count for the day was 8 lings, 6 blacks, 1 cab, 1 vermillion, and zero salmon.

On Sunday I spent 7 hours trolling for salmon and went through 46 pieces of bait.  My fish total for the day was 11 lings, 14 blacks, 3 green ling, and zero salmon.

Yes, what Jacks said.  Thank you all so very much.

I had a great time spending time with my friends and meeting and making new friends.
Congrats to Bluegill and thanks for your generosity.  Next time we meet..."ITS ON!"
I apologize to Cody and Rich.  I was supposed to cook up some Sherry Butter Crab for Cody to try.  I blame it on too many of Marco's Bloody Marys.  Maybe at the next Disco Dave's FNC or Traceys" FNC.

Fridays fishing expedition was poor.  It was rough and windy.  We  dropped our two crab pots and trolled around the inside for Salmon and fought the wind and current to get back in.  We did end up with some nice crab though.
Saturday was better with some nice lingcod for the tourney.
Sunday was epic!  It was a fish on every cast.  Here is a video...

Thanks for a great time Eric and family, volunteers and sponsors!
My family(wife Ashley and daughter Olivia) and I loved the weekend at the Cove.
The Tides Inn(thx Eric and Verna!) was a great place to retire to, the views from our balcony were epic!

It was great seeing old friends and meeting new ones, big shout out to Tommy/Butete and Jingle for letting me and the fam hang out with them, and share the good food at their campsite. Crash, thanks for the oyster fest, my daughter really liked them. Gear swap was cool, and I ended up with a sweet new game clip and some Branson slugs.

Tourney day was soggy but not too bad, at least the the wind was down and the fish were biting. Never could land any big fish on Sat. but caught a bunch and had a great time - my first time to catch fish in the rain! Congrats to all who placed and launched, good job!

I got off the water a bit early to get over and volunteer at the Gyotaku event with Ashley. It was a really cool experience, and I learned the basics of printing a fish, and got to help a few folks make some nice art. Brandi really has the Gyotaku down, and I hope to help next year.

The GS Potluck was awesome as usual, we stuffed ourselves and I vowed to come back to the campground to play some music, but as soon as I took a shower I was done. Fishing in the rain had done a number on me.

Good times, wish we could have stayed longer!
Got our room at the Tides reserved for next year's GS :smt001

Batt's fish from what he refers to as my 22" ling hole.  Yes that's over 40 on the trough.

What an awesome weekend!
Sarah hooked us up at the tides inn for a few nights. What a nice place with a million dollar view! Eric and Verna are doing it up right.
I tweaked my back removing the ice chest from the truck almost immediately after settling in (maybe too much beer?). That kept me from being able to sit in my kayak, but certainly did not keep me from having fun otherwise.
Shuland @ Mario's was off the hook as usual!
Working the Kayakjack Taco Shack with the crew was a big highlight as well, capped off with some shenanigans with Jack and his extended family late Saturday night.
Well done again Eric! I can only imagine the effort it must take. Kudos to you.
 Good times!
