My understanding is that for the Junior raffle of the Hobie Sport you need to have entered at least one fish in JAOTY or JDOTY, AND you must be present...that way the kid who wins is actually there.  :smt004

James please correct me if I'm wrong.

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

I'd like to be there to celebrate The highlander aka Clayman and the other competitors but that's to damn far!  Maybe next year we can hold it a little farther north?!...I mean almost half of this years top 10 competitors live north of hwy36  :smt003

Jokes aside, thx to everyone behind the scenes of Aoty.

Had a blast last year and lookin forward to 2016!

Checking the weather down there.  Damn, it's gonna be a veritable heat wave compared to where I'm coming from!  Should be a nice little escape from the mountains.

We will be there!  Is there camping spots for trailers?  Or dog fees if we bring a dog?

Bring a hard hat in case of a surprise hail storm.

Trust me I totally understand

I know that the location is not centralized but I still hope I see the Lost Coast Crew at the event.

I haven't talked to any of the others to see if they are going down.  The distance and timing make it really difficult and really not fun for humboldt kids to make it down for this.  Its 7 hours according to google.  If it was the following weekend its the president's weekend and we could make a trip out of it.  As it is I'd have to pull her out of school if I wanted to fish at all, or just blaze down and back for the ceremony and not get to fish at all, and neither one of those things makes much sense.

Somewhere central would be nice.  So would planning it around a 3 day weekend.  Maybe something for tptb to consider in the future.

Theres space for trailers and dogs are ok. If you have kids or if yourself wants to bring a bike or skateboard theres a real nice bike path that runs down the water with no traffic.

Thanks Andy!  We might just have to bring a couple of bikes too.
