Hopefully a window of opportunity to get out on the blue will appear between Christmas and New Years! For now it looks like nothing until at least after Christmas Day

I am the 27th stay that way or gets better.

Even though the waters and wind have been harsh through December, lets remember to be calm when dealing with our family and strangers. 

I hope this week will allow some of us to get out on the water to try out our creations.

I ended giving away the first 3 golden angels to friends , so
I found another angel and came up with this one.
It'll get their attention, a procure worm on the upper hook...

 The Fort is calling  and Sun looks pretty nice!

talk about waiting till the last minute-
I did not think I would get a day otw - the weather down Monterey way on my open to go fishing days has been pretty gnarly

but it looks like Sunday is going to let me get down to some super secret (lol) southern Monterey areas

So I went to dig out last years Holiday Elf themed lures--Could Only find one and it looked pretty ratty but I was Able to Salvage the Elf cap

Also got these cool holiday tinsel trimmings at a box store last month
Combined with some Branson Baits Slugs and twin tail --some Pro Cure Octopus Gel and some squid strips.....

Sunday  these Baby's are gonna knock a 20 lb ling in the head!!!! 

We'll, that's better than drawing a santa face on a jig.

Where did you find the Pro Cure Octopus gel ?

I think I picked my octo gel at a little tackle shop in Santa Cruz (on 41st ave).  Think I've also seen it in some of the west marine stores ... Maybe @ bass pro too but not certain.
