Why don't they just say it's closed?
That info is a public health department advisory. CDFW has to post a regulations change. Bet we see it tomorrow morning.

They said they're meeting Thursday to postpone the season...didn't say for how long.

I heard someone saying that if the recreational season opener is pushed back, it wouldn't necessarily push back the commercial season opener?!

Are we about to get screwed? Kinda feels like our season window could shrink a lot, or completely disappear. Anybody know if / how they've handled this before?

I really don't want any more nasty crabs... took forever to get rid of them in college.

Nope...

If our season opens next Tuesday, there's will still open on Saturday; and it's gonna be a ZOO!

They will be able to drop as early as Friday...

The way I see it, better safe than sorry. As much as I love crab and crabbing it's not worth getting sick over.

I'm waiting to see how many of you get sick first. I'm immune suppressed, and think I'd be in the hospital or worse. Not worth the risk. I'll fish Lobster for now, till the safe word is out.

So, lobster are ok? You should look into it bro. Especially if you have health issues. I mean, they all eat the same stuff, right?

I have a rock cod/crab combo trip on the 22nd. Without the crab it might not be worth going. There is an emergency meeting tomorrow(5th) to decide when/if crab season will start.

Just got the e-mail from the CDFW.  The health office is recommending a delay in the season.  There is an emergency meeting starting tomorrow morning at 8am to vote on delaying BOTH the sport and commercial seasons.
