Ok, I signed up on the cdfg site to be informed... it was actually easy!

I've seen some post that they were planning on going out of HMB at midnight on the opener. Anyone else going at first light?

I'd love to get out, but I'm a noob and by myself, it'd be nice to paddle out with a veteran.  I went to Isao and Josiah's crabbing clinic last week, I learned a lot. I'd love to get out with some of you!

HMB- 16ppm to 130ppm, 12 crab tested-83% above the 30ppm threshold. Average of 12 crab 56ppm.  CC- highest was 140ppm, 1/2 of the crab tested were above the 30ppm  threshold.  Meeting tomorrow to get some more results back, and talk about sport delay

Debacking those crabs before cooking if it opens this Saturday.

30 ppm threshold. I thought the toxic level was as low as 20ppm. Some scary number there, but is it trending down?

Its 30ppm for the viscera and 20ppm for the meat.

Yep, sounds like the consensus is to clean & remove viscera before cooking...and consider steaming instead of boiling.
