Time for a group hug.   :3some:

Yup.

Tourney directors should make whatever rules they feel like making. Heck, these guys put in lots of work often times for no more reward than providing a good time for the rest of us.

I personally don't like the "no pro-staffers" rule, since I think most promotional staffers put put in work worth way more than the discounts or deals they get on kayaks/gear. I don't blame them for getting a bit butthurt when they are excluded (particularly the prostaffers who love to compete).

I won't be attending Spike's tournaments because of the no-prostaffers rule, and because he seems to make a habit of burning my friends. I can't however fault him for setting the rules of his own stupid tournament.  :smt003 :smt006

Prostaff guys don't like the "non-prostaff" rules.

No one else gives a shit. :smt008

So, who wants to fish and/or camp  this weekend?

If you want to thank a Vet, be a person worth fighting for.

I'm more about hanging out, having a few drinks, cooking up food for people, and just enjoying my time with y'all. So this new rule that these directors started implementing has nothing to do with my decision to enter a tourney.

You forgot knife fighting.... :smt002

I had a great time in Albion.

as for no kayak if a pro staff would win, well too fucken bad, let me get you some cheese to go with that wine, don't you understand that you already won!  you are "PRO STUFF" you are already consider a better than average angler, and some of you won't even take a picture on the kayak that you will sell within 2 weeks and the sponsor does not get anything to show for.
don't you realized that in the long run that could mean no more prizes from sponsors.
if being a Pro Stuff means that you can not take pictures with another kayak then why do you enter a contest to win that other kayak?
Come on give Craig a break, Albion is the best tournament in my opinion cause everybody camps in the same area.
Soma, by the way, there were plenty of prizes, you just had to buy raffle tickets.
Remember what happened to Fishermen warehouse series, They disappear because people bitching about one thing or another. Don't let it happen again by pissing off any of the sponsors.
We should all say thank you to all the sponsors, from the guys donating kayak straps, to Dan giving cash to the winner of simply fishing to all the kayak companies on their websites even by just saying thank you for your support on facebook, their clients see that and gives them a positive view from everybody.
I better shut up and go to work.

Gotta throw my 2 cents in here....

Don't get the terms 'Pro-Staff' and 'Sponsored' or 'Professional Angler' interchanged.  They are in NO way the same and we have covered this in great length on another thread.  A 'Pro-Staff' member will generally get a discount on product in exchange for support at events, a little exposure, etc...  They are basically a contractor to the company.  This does not meant hey are any better/worse of a fisherman than the next guy.  I don't fish tournaments ... that is MY choice and not a criteria to be part of the Navico (Lowrance) Pro-Staff team.  I work VERY hard for them.  In addition to the 26 weekends I worked for them, I logged countless hours replying to messages, emails, phone calls, on-site visits with boat owners, etc...  It gives me no advantage as far as fishing is concerned.

If you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to drop me a PM.
