Have to work this weekend, or I'd be there!

It would be great if people showed up demanding their t-shirts from a few years back.  :smt044

I'll definitely be there.  Great format; fish, food, prizes.

" “Team”, industry Pro-Staff, corporate sponsored anglers and company representatives are welcome to participate and compete for a Place win.  “Industry anglers” are ineligible for prize awards."

No prizes. Thanks for coming out and here's your participation ribbon.  :smt012

No prizes?  Reminds me of this year's Albion Open.

Funny thing is I'm cool with it. Just think it's a silly rule these event directors are putting in place.

Why bitch about the rules? The tournament directors set the rules, and you know going in what they are. If you do not agree with them, fish elsewhere.

damn krusty that's pretty damn harsh. I know the directors set the rules and you are exactly right if I don't like them I shouldn't enter the tourney. I don't think saying I think it's silly constitutes bitching but hey that's your opinion.  I'm more about hanging out, having a few drinks, cooking up food for people, and just enjoying my time with y'all. So this new rule that these directors started implementing has nothing to do with my decision to enter a tourney.

Agreed. If you know the way it is up front, deal.

Let's state for the record that the two-time winning, sponsored fisherman not only passed on the purse win to the event beneficiary, he gave back the $400 prize raffle paddle, too.

That rocked. No complaints here.

For the record Im cool with Craig winning. He is a great angler and deserves the recognition for what he did at the SFT. I personally was blown away by it and have said this on other forums.

Damn saying you think something silly gets under people's skins.

Heres where you are wrong . I said that no one who was sponsored by a kayak company could win the kayak. All other prizes were cool.

There I feel better now. Why I did that at the Albion Open was the fact that sponsored anglers get a kayak at about half price of retail. Nothing is free. Lets get that straight. So, sponsored kayak anglers have enough kayaks and get a smoking deal. Others pay full price or have to opt for a used kayak. I thought it was a good rule for people who don't get a break and also get pissed off when they see the winning boat pimped by a pro staffer time after time. Rider you are cool. Soma needs to get his words straight.
