Welp, this is going to have to happen.  Went out last weekend and felt completely lost when it came to holes, what was underneath me, and where I actually was (sure I could see the mile buoy, and the point over there, but it's hard to mark the position exactly). It's not easy finding fish when you don't know the area/haven't grown up fishing in the pacific.  Yea, I could figure it out over the course of a years worth of fishing, but I don't have the patience.  It's tough because I come from the land of plenty (coastal GA), knowing exactly where I should go to catch fish on any given day...I can just close my eyes and see all my fishing holes  :smt007 :smt004

This seems like a great deal!  I was on the Lowrance site and saw that everything is priced less than what you've listed.  Is the price you've listed the best price we can get?

The price you see MSRP on their web site is the STARTING price for that model.  If you click, on say, the Elite 7 CHIRP model, you will see that there are 5 different P/N for this model.  Some include transducers, some do not but the MSRP shown will reflect the LEAST expensive package (obviously w/o transducer).  The retail I shown you, rest assured, IS less than the price you wills see on the Lowrance web site.

Hope this helps!

I'm going to have to look for more details. Sounds like a great opportunity, but I think I want one with gps too. Hopefully some of those models have been reduced too.

All of the models I listed above include GPS unless it is an 'x' model like Elite 7x or 5x which means fishfinder only (as I noted by those that are ff only).

Yes, but keep in mind that this model does not include any GPS features and cannot be added later. As noted in an earlier message, none of the 'x' models have any GPS feature nor can it be added.

I'm glad I asked. I want the chart plotter. Maybe I was just tired, but I was sure I was clicking a link for one with a chart plotter.  :smt044

Same price as WM based on what I just saw for that model.  $50 more gets you the 7" model :smt002

The Cabelas model does note 83/200 but they Dont specify if that is the standard 83/200 or the 83/200 hdi which unlocks all the capabilities.  Lowrance offers it both ways.  WM openly states it includes the HDI transducer for the $399 price.

Can you link to them? I can't find them on their website.

Go to their search box & type 'Elite 5 Chirp'.  The second one on the list should be what you are looking for with 83/200 + 455/800 transducer for $399

Ok. I think there is a typo on that one. Down below it says tranducer sold separately. That model # on the lowrance page says it includes the transducer. Also I see single frequency and dual beam on the lowrance site. Maybe the hdi is just another way to describe the same thing. I didn't see the hdi term used on the lowrance page.

Very confusing.  :smt006

The one I see for $50 more is the single beam ducer. The dual band 7" is $100 more than the dual band 5".

This helped me understand a little better.
