Looks like you have most of the answers. I'd just add.... ginger candy, ginger ale, or anything with ginger

17 years of kayak fishing and sea sickness. I puke and fish on! Tried them all and nothing has worked 100%. Best is a good nights rest and a full stomach of non-dairy products. You'll learn what not to eat as they taste horrible the second time.

Once I had the ick and someone gave me some ginger candy and about 30 mins later I was perfectly fine.  Now I always carry some ginger candy in my dry bag.

If I feel it coming on, the first thing I try NOT to do is say or even think the word sick.  Somehow as soon as I do that it starts feeling worse.  Then I take off my hat, and then try and paddle around a bit looking off into the horizon.  Pre-rigging is the way I avoid looking down in my lap, which is when I usually start feeling it too.  :smt002

I came to the conclusion I need Dramamine an hour before launch.. I tried not using it and forgetting it..  After a couple hours on the water.. I start puking.   I tried to tough it out, and fish on.. But it just makes a horrible fishing experience.  Its odd that I can drive and ride my moto through tight canyons and the race track at speeds and not have a bit of sickness..   put me on a boat and I get sick quick..   Heck I even got sick on a cruise ship.  Id do more cruises but drinking tons of alcohol and seasickness dont match.

I started taking 2 Dramamine the only thing is that I tend to crash after. I took Scopolomine did not like the cotton mouth but wayyyy better the Dramamine, I got introduce to kayaking and I only take 1 dramamine and I'm fine.

Trial and error. See what may work for you first. Over the counter (Dramamine, bonine) works for some. Scopace works for me best. It has to be compounded by a compounding pharmacy though since they don't make the pill form anymore. I ran out during Albion and had to resort to Dramamine. Big mistake! I got seasick so bad and the aftermath was even worse. I was knocked the F out. Would wake up only to sleep again after an hour. Again, you may want to experiment first before going towards prescription route

I have had some luck with the pressure bands.  I thought they were kind of fake but it did seem to help.  Has anybody else used them to good effect?

Have always favored natural meds/remedies.

I'm with eelkram n AlsHobieOutback on this: ginger candies or fresh slices of ginger in a ziplock bag. The moment you feel it, just put a slice in your mouth.

Catch a fish also work wonders  :smt001. I've seen people get sick and the moment they catch a fish, everything gets OK.

More time on the water and you'll get over it.

I agreed, my wife always gets seasick on my boat - however, if she catch baits fish, everything gets OK.

Perhaps seasickness increases the chances of catching fish, after all, chumming is allowed by F&G.

Sounds funny but true even if it's bait fish.  :smt001
