I used to get sick on the smallest swell. But what works for me now is to take drememine pill the night before, wake up and eat something (usually yogurt is all I can stomach that early) then I take another pill. i keep eating on the way to the water. For me the ticket is to not be hungry. For some reason when I have an empty stomach and am on the water I get sick.

So for me it's take a pill the night before, then when you wake up, then every 3-4 hours. And keep eating all day. If I do all of that than I don't get sick! Maybe my body has become more accustom to the water, or maybe it's a combination of all the other stuff I do, but I used t be the first to puke. Now I can go out on retry rough seas and be fine. Good luck to everyone! Being sea sick is the worst! Especially when you are stuck on a boat with other people and have to just wait it out

Looks like you have most of the answers. I'd just add.... ginger candy, ginger ale, or anything with ginger

I'll usually take one meclizine pill just before I launch.  Works great, but the downside is I tend to crash out once I return to shore.  And maybe I'm in the minority, but if I'm ever feeling queasy while OTW I'll munch some granola bars and it tends to make it go away.  I feel like I'm more likely to get sick if I'm on an empty stomach.

I have my worst moments when I'm crabbing.  Looking down, untangling crabs from the trap, measuring the crabs, stowing the crabs...all involves looking down and not across the horizon.  Hardly a fun time when the ocean is bumpy.  Oh, and if I ever get downwind while Matt's smoking one of his Backwoods cigars  :smt005.

You've heard of the morning after pill?  This is the night before pill  :smt005  I use same approach with the pill night before, and morning of, if I have to ensure no pukage from the get go and don't want to leave it to chance.  But I usually don't take anything, and still straight

Mescaline or 3,4,5-trimethoxyphenethylamine is a naturally occurring psychedelic alkaloid of the phenethylamine class, known for its hallucinogenic effects similar to those of LSD and psilocybin. Wikipedia

It was just a joke, I accidentally said Mescaline once instead of Meclazine and it stuck , lol  :smt003

Ima try everything you guys mentioned because honestly the water is just too perfect to let this opportunity pass by because of sea sickness what sucks about my body is I tend to not throw up easily which makes it worse but I did however meet this guy out in the water whom I see quite frequently and I told him about how I felt and he gave me these bracelets that have a round little ball that's supposed to prevent nausea do to a stress point as I was paddling back to the harbor I felt better in about 10-15 mins not sure if it was from looking up or the bracelets
