You got it right, as far as parking goes there are two public launch docks on that side.. I'm unsure where weigh ins are but I'm sure they're on the KC side of the harbor... Anywho see ya there!!!

Nope, weigh ins are near F dock on the west side of the harbor.  Last year, we finished weighins here, and people migrated over KC on the other side for the BBQ.

Weigh in is at hand launch ramp on Southwest Quadrant of harbor. Near F Dock, where Stagnaro's Velocity ties up.  And near UCSC docks.  I'll be there around 11:30.

Weigh-in is right here, right?

Basically, when you paddle into the harbor, you see the boat launch to your right. Keep going a little more until you see a ramp with a floating platform on the left side. That's where you want to be.

YES.  Thanks Pat.  Weigh in at F dock from "around" 11:30 to 1pm.  Ends promptly at 1pm.  Remember to get to F docjk by 1pm.  If you're in line at 1pm, your fish gets weighed in.  if you paddle up at 1:02pm, you are too late.

Is it a good place to launch as well? I usually launch from the boat ramp? it might be a little more convenient with less crazy boaters with big trailers....

Frenchie, I prefer unloading at the boat ramp personally. I found it easier but I'm a bigger guy. On the other side, you have to sit on the ramp and scoot off into your kayak. I found that to be somewhat difficult the first time, but I am sure it would be easier the second time. I still prefer boat ramp anyway!

Thanks Ryan, that's what I thought. So I guess I will keep using the boat ramp

Fished out of the Harbor today. Did a timed run to some holes, BAIT IS EVERYWHERE and perfect size.. So bring some extra sabiki's cause full stringers destroy them after time...

As far as the launching from the ramp idea.... I know it may be "easier".. but it truly is a S#$T show out there right now at the ramp, good luck if you do choose to go that way.... With all the Blue Fin's being caught, it was crazy leaving the Harbor mouth at 645am. I saw the ramp and it was swamped with boats / trailers, etc. When I say packed, I mean PACKED... Just an FYI as its only Wed, being a Sunday.... Well I am sure you will get the hint.

Oh, we get to see a little action too while we are out there, as the Lane is having the Finals of the CWC that day! Should be an awesome day! Surfing finals, fishing with good people and hopefully good weather!

Cant wait to see / meet all you guys and get to put some a face, real name and smile to the avatars! :P Oh and bring home a new purdy prize!

If you launch from the ramp, just get your yak prepped beside your truck, out of the way, then wheel it down to the ramp...instead of parking on the ramp and getting prepped there. The one advantage to launching from that side is a shorter walk to KC for the BBQ afterwards though.
Also, yeah the Cold Water Classic finals will be going on at Steamers...and this is the first time we've had real waves in like 5 years!

EDIT: I have Dave's blessing to sell tickets for the PIF Hobie raffle at the Kayak Connection derby on Sunday 10/18. So hit me up at the weigh-in or BBQ if you want to win a badass new Hobie Revolution 16!!! Here is more info about the raffle, for reference: http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=64350.0
