If you want to help our veterans have a day of relaxing, kayaking, fishing, and having fun, please consider volunteering June 6 at LODI LAKE.

We expect 80 participants and a total head count of 120-150.

Help will be needed in the kitchen as Jack is fixing breakfast and lunch.

We also need spotters, fitters, guides and head counters.

If you have an extra kayak, bring it.  Please bring your radio fully charged and ready to go.  Caution--make sure you mark all you gear.

Preparation usually starts around 6:30.  Lunch usually goes from 11-1.

Clean up after the event is important.

If you can help.  Please let me know and the time you can be there.

This event is one of our biggest and memorable.

The town of Lodi really welcomes HOW and with Dan's connections, it is a sweet event.

You will be happy you volunteered.

I cannot attend the event since it is my brother's wedding, but I'd be happy to let someone borrow both of my kayaks and radios if they want to pick it up in Dublin and can return it before the next weekend. Would just need 1 paddle and 2 PFD's to complete the outfit sans fishing gear.
Thresher in avatar and Soupfin Shark in signature both caught and pic taken by me.

I'll be down there again this year had a great time. And they just stocked the lake this weekend with trout for the kids fishing derby and not many were caught so hopefully it helps to get everyone on fish this year. I'll be there at 7 to help get everything set up and help Dan and the gang get the boat house doing to get everyone on the water. I really enjoy these events and have been looking forward to it since Hennessy

Yes!  It looks like I'll be able to make this one after all.  Finally my first HOW event.  I can be down there as early as you need me.  Let me know where you need the help.

This is the first list of manpower and assignment.  If I have your information incorrect, please let me know.

Please make sure your radios are charged and working.

VK and OPS CAME THREW WITH MORE RODS/REELS FOR THE KIDDOS.

At this event, I would like to be able to tell who is on the water at all times.  I screwed up at Hennessey and could not account for one vet.   I worried the heck out of the vets daughter.

Mark and Piski, please devise a system between you two so the vets check in when they go out otw, and then check back in when returning.  Please encourage the vets/participants to only embark and disembark at the ramp.

We need an official photographer at this event.

Thanks for stepping up.

Put me down for bringing potato salad, fishing hooks and I'll be there all day.  I'll bring at least my kayak and possibly one more.  I am experienced help in the kitchen with Jack if that works, otherwise, I can rig poles or just about anything you may need to have done.

My friend Steve will be there to help Jack in the kitchen.

We need to think about one more thing here. With all the help from NCKA guys at launch, in the kitchen, waivers, we will only have a couple guys on the water to keep an eye on everyone. Everyone being up to maybe 40+ on the water at any given time. We need more on the water help and oversight.

I can be on the water as well as anything else, if that's where I'm needed.  Also, I have a couple extra radios that have Marine 69 on them if there's a need.

Jack needs a lot of help too. Food for the masses will be a big effort. I think whoever has experience working with Jack already should help him out with this, at least the breakfast part first thing. We will make it work. Launch control will be big challenge too.
