Weather looks to have layed down. Anyone heading out on the water Thursday? I need to load up for a fish fry for the weekend. Perhaps the Bean or HMB? I could maybe be talked in to an ab dive run up north too if someone wants to carpool.

How I wish I could carpool with you Brian? I live in Mountain House and love to have company someday to be otw at HMB? If Friday or Saturday still good, I may be heading to HMB to try crabbing again and some fishing.

You're pretty much on my way out there. Most of the time I will have the family in tow but I'll let you know when I make commando runs.

I've seen guys out watersking in Monterey between Wharf 2 & the yellow can's.  Single Ski ... high-speed ... some sort of ski racing in very lumpy conditions.

Just one time...I want to wakeboard in the bay. Imagine how much air I could get on a double-up with some swell.

I didn't have a buddy so I went to work instead....thanks for making me feel depressed now! As a family man, I figure I need to play it a little safer and not go out on the water solo anymore.

Be a good boss and let your whole team off for the Friday before Memorial day!  I'll probably head south tomorrow.  Babies love rockfish.

It was lightly raining in north Santa Cruz. You dont want to drive hwy 17 when its slick. You made the correct risk averse call daddy O

Only wusses feel unsafe driving 17 in the rain.  You should see the conditions we drive in on Bear Creek.  People up in BC drive like it's a hot summers day, through fog, rain, wind, whatever...  :smt044

I'm not saying that I feel its unsafe  :smt044  shit, even if I did, i wouldn't have no choice but to drive to work anyway

FWIW, upon driving back from lunch at Santa Cruz Diner I did see a Dodge Durango off the road near Pasatiempo.  Musta flew off the road, cuz it was way up into the trees.  CHP and Fire on the scene.  So, yeah, its obviously doable, but buster ass foos do still eat moonpie every now and agin  :smt012

I live up near the summit. If there's even the slightest weather issue, the number of crashes on 17 seems to increase exponentially. And more often than not, the crashed cars I see are upside down---always wondered why that's the case...
