Were on…

This is an event put on by " Veterans First Fly Fishing…",  were helping them a bit finically but no admin headaches for me!!!   :white

all fees waived for volunteers, We have Kathy from Delta Adventures to help out with extra kayaks and should be an awesome time…

and if you read my heads up post…  they have a temporary pen that holds a trout plant close to shore for a few days. They lower the pen at the end of the event on Friday and trout fishing is pretty fun…

Not too mention the Bruiser LMB's that have been eyeing Lunch for the past few days come to dine… quite a sight in itself…

chime in,,,

we could still use extra yaks as this is a good place to rack up some numbers of vets served which helps us spend our money…

  We Need A Trailer!!!

Thanks y'all

Great, bring the yaks and all the trauma dressing ya want, never can have too much of that when ya need it…

Kurlex, my Favorite… and I must say, a necessity for every first aid kit…  Great for a pressure dressing, just cut it down the middle and tear, can be done without scissors too …  wrap kurlex over the bandage that you've already placed over the wound to control bleeding. This is where you cut from the roll, cut in the middle, tear and then wrap opposite around appendage and tie off directly on top bandage over said wound…  keeping a close on it too as to not be applying a tourniquet and cutting off blood supply to the distal part of the appendage….

also very useful in tying down nut jobs by simply "larks footing" around all four appendages of said psycho and "Time!!!"

Brand their ass!!!

Sorry, just reflecting on the old days…

carry on Kurlex…    :salut:

Too Macob and too much Nick Cage,,, but if want reality, "Mother Jugs and Speed…"  that one nailed it…  at least for the 80's when I started,,,  still feel the pain today… woke up and my back is totally out…

the scene where Larry Hagman losses the gurney with the Big Lady on it is priceless…   :smt044

I always wanted Juggs as my partner. :smt008

Unfortunately I transport Bariatric Patients on a regular basis.  It's always the 600+ pounders in the back bedroom of a singlewide or upstairs in a victorian with a steep curving staircase.

If everything goes as planned, I'll have a little extra space for us to stage on this trip!  Might even have a spot for someone to park a small RV or trailer the night before.  ::crossing fingers::

I will try to talk to my work to see if they can supply their rental yaks. Also they have stand-up paddle boards... would those be worthwhile to try and get?

Also how many kayaks are we needing?

honesty I think we'll have enough kayaks unless Don promotes this event outside of the fly fishing group.  Usually a lot of vets around who are there for the fly fishing and not as many to do the kayaks.  Plus I have 4 kayaks available that can make the 6 minute trip from my house in addition to kathy's fleet.
