This week on Tuesday I had to put my Tessa Down. Her last NCKA event was AOTY awards party. She got sick so fast everything was a spinning unreal spiral down. I rescued her seven years ago this week. She came from Del Norte animal shelter. They had sent a call out to some non-profits that thirty dogs were to be euthanized the following day. A place called the Dog Shack went up and got Tessa. We had lost  a little pit mix to cancer about six months before and we were ready for another little pit mix. I saw her pic online. Went to meet her. She came flying into the house covered in mud, jumped up on my lap and I was sold. I loved this little girl with all my heart. She suffered from extreme separation anxiety so I ended up having to take her wherever I went. She was my co-pilot through life. I learned a lot from her. I still cant believe the lessons are over. My heart is broken.

Sorry to hear Craig. Berta saw your message that evening after you were going in and told me she wished she seen it earlier.

So sad to hear the news about your pup :smt010,

Before, I never really understood the bond between owner and dog, but knowing how much I love my dog and what it would mean to lose him.

Kinda make me understand what your going through and the sorrow you must have at the loss of your beloved best friend; my heart is sadden by your loss.....

Losing a pup is the hardest thing I have personally ever dealt with. We give our emotions over to these little guys. No matter how tough we think we may be, the pups remind us just how soft we really are. After each time, I swear never again. But is life really worth the daily trials without a dog? I say no. I grieve for you Bro. When it's time. Jump back on that horse. Rip Tessa!
