Looks sweet. 43 pounds.

Thanks for the link Rob.  At 43lbs this yak is in "feather weight" class and good looking too.  Could use a better seat though.

It looks to be like a GTS seat which every time I hear some recommending a seat here that is what they recommend.

That boat has always had  a small hatch up front I think. The composite boats seem to have smaller front hatches up front no matter the brand. Must be a strength thing. It is lighter than the C-12 too.

Dang Tarpons with the small front hatches [emoji35] . Why do they do that?
Someone should let WS know that the ocean fishing people want to be able to stow a rod or two. The original model had two HUGE hatches. The Thresher has a rod pod thingy, why can't the Tarpon get a bigger hatch?

Shoot I didn't look at the link before I posted......could you even fit a Barbie pole in that?   WTF?

My 6.6 Trevala fits in the Tarpon hatches. The smaller Composite boats from Wildy and Eddyline both have small front hatches. Don't know why. Maybe because they really are not made for ocean use and in freshwater people use crates and other holders in the tank.

The angled Orbix hatch on the deck can easily stow a 7ft one-piece rod. And that's what I care about...who the heck wants to climb onto the bow to retrieve your rods after launching or before landing? (works fine w/a partner but can be precarious when solo)
Also, the Rodpod and Ultra hatches and most other large deck hatches are uncomfortable on my legs after a few hours OTW. I prefer the low-profile style of these Orbix hatches.

   The new Thresher center hatch sits low enough, at least for me, to not bother my legs like the tridents or Ultras do. I have not seen a UL in person so I did not know the center angled hatch would hold a rod. Thanks for the info.

I'm guessing it has to do with that big of a hole in what is probably thinner more flexible material. I put my cart in the front hatch of my Tarpon 120. It won't fit in the small hatch on my Tarpon 100.

Well now that you mention it, Rob. I haven't seen the new ULs in person either. So I was just assuming the center hatch would be angled (like the T140 & 160). But it's hard to tell based on all the pics I see online.

Hey Rob ... what's the good word on the paddling difference between the 140 & 155 Thresher?  Sorry for the threadjack....
