The other day I filled up my truck, the next morning left for work at 5:30 and they sucked tank dry?? Why this is the cheapest gas has been in years?!! And we never have trouble in culdesac??
Time for a locking gas cap!

All it takes is a screwdriver and a hammer, and driving 300 miles in someone else's car without their gas cap key :)

Yesterday my son and I headed to Stillwater North to cast of the bluffs for rock fish. A bit rough for that but probably good for yak launch and self rescue practice. He wanted to do some climbing so we stowed the rods/reels in the car back seat since they were too long for the trunk even broken down being 11 foot surf poles and locked it. We were parked next to Hwy One on a pullout. The car lock was jimmied. Poles/reels phone and a pair of sunglasses were taken. What would life without dirt bags roaming around be like? Fishing gear was not super expensive nor were phone or shades but replacement is an unwanted hassle. First time ever I've been stolen from while fishing.

would that be great or what...not have to worry about crime..wow-what a concept

we drive down to Big Sur all the time-and always pull over and shoot down little trails to see where they lead.
as soon as the car/motorcyle gets where I cant see it,i start to feel like shit and cant enjoy just being down on the cliffs, never comfortable until I can see our ride again ....sucks too...cause we live right here and would love to be able to take a snack and towles or cliff fish or look for fun coves---be able to actually go and enjoy big sur and park anywhere...cant...scum bag area big time

My old lady and I went with a group of our friends who like to bicycle from Happy Valley to the ocean via hwy 36. The trek is made in 3 days with camping along the way. We volunteered as part of the gear hauler/set-up/take-down crew for the endeavor.

We made it to the coast and I figured it was time to get a little south jetty fishing time in. Parked,  went out to just on the other side of the gate. Some friends finally showed up and came out to inform us that our passenger side window on our truck was busted out and the door open.

Of course we happen to have $700 on us just in case we want to stay another day and get a room or emergencies. I don't know how the tweekers sniffed that cash out,  but it was the only thing taken. My laptop in a samsonite case was untouched. Cops said it was probably spent on a bag already at the casino.

I felt like going to prison for murder would be worth it at first,  but I finally cooled off.

Armed drones sound like a good solution. That way you could be out of sight of your vehicle and still watch yourself take the scum out. Chase em for awhile first.

The sad part is that Prop 47 that reduces several categories of crime will only allow the thieving cancer to grow at a faster rate. I don't see a rosy future ahead with out some sort of social realignment.

I have some tweakers/burglars in my area before, they are looking for unlock or breaking car windows, they took my phone and navi from my Trailblazers, I installed camera, caught them, only problem they are teenagers mostlikely they wont go to jail but never came back to my place, they dont want to get shot by a bow and arrow I guess.

I work in a Toyota bodyshop and in 2014 we probably at least 8-10  cat theft jobs.
I've seen the roller jobs and sawzall.
Those scumbags are getting good at it.

I am all for baiting them in too! I know theft often is a product of opportunity, but wouldn't it be really nice to crack out the ghillie suit and the 22 cal pellet rifle and crack them in the ass as soon as they reached in the back of your truck to take some loot!? I mean have the 7mm Rem Mag on ready stand by in case they come equipped with a bad attitude, safety first of course.

repeating myself I know-
they had rash of HWY1 break ins a few years back that made the news and weeks later in the local pine cone (carmels little hometown free weekly paper) they reported catching a group of folks in different stages that were the ones doing the big spike in break ins...

Bait Car---no resources for this I would bet ,but some tourist looking couple that drives up and down hwy 1 and stops at these spots and walks away...leave some eye candy on the dash etc....set it up so the crime is higher..put a disabled service revolver on the back seat etc...
