Yep, as much as I despise tweakers, the dirtbags who do this are beyond mere meth-heads -- they're full-time thieves.

Yeah, something like this or welding a cover plate over the cat seems to be the best path to keeping your platinum.  I halfway wish someone would take mine as it's whistling like mad and I'm too cheap to cough up the $700-950 to replace it.

That sucks...have had it happen to my Sequoia and 4Runner....expensive fix.  My recommendation would be to put in the aftermarket catalytic converters.  They do not have the precious metal these guys sell and are only worth $15 at a junk yard.  On a lighter note, those cars without the converters sound like a Nascar vehicle!

I have those on my Tundra.  The guy I bought the truck from had them installed when they stole his.

DAMMIT! they got under my wives toyota sequoia thursday night and took both catylic converters. very expensive to replace. fully covered so shouldn't have to come out of pocket too much but god dam. so if you own a toyota SUV or something like that beware because this is becoming an issue now whoever theres tweakers roaming the streets at night.

The other day I filled up my truck, the next morning left for work at 5:30 and they sucked tank dry?? Why this is the cheapest gas has been in years?!! And we never have trouble in culdesac??

Don't forget they steal air bags as well.
