Well this is not really a NCKA post but since its "JELLYFISH" I guess it's okay.  Some time ago Sean told me that Jelly had recently got his Hunting License.  Sean said he was into Catching and Releasing only, and was a Fishing Guy.. (not a hunter).   I thought this would be the perfect oppurtunity to pay Sean back for getting me hooked on the expensive sport of Kayak fishing ($$$$), so I took Jellyfish Pig hunting, hoping he would love it, and want a VERY EXPENSIVE gun for Christmas.  SORRY Whites..

PS: he no longer wants a motorcycle????

PS, My son Tanner went with us to keep us company, and to help gut the pig.  It was 125 LBS. Boar.  The JELLY shot it with a Ruger .270 Bolt. from 75 FEET away.  We saw about 25 pigs all day.  This one was dropped off at the Butcher for Spicy Sausage, Chops, Roasts, and Steaks......  JELLY THE GREAT "WHITE" HUNTER......  (ONE SHOT ONE KILL)

Nice Hog!!!! Jelly.  If you want to take up Duck Hunting I will take you out.  Sean, no need to get a shotgun.  I have a few.  Or, just go out sportingclays.

Was this a Guided hunt?  Private Land?

Sweet!

I wish that was me.  I so want to get into pig hunting.

What do you think of the .270 as an all around gun?  I was thinking of getting a savage 110 in .270 for both deer and hog.

Way to go Jelly!  I want to taste some of that sausage.

I shoot a Remington in a 30-06.  270 is real nice too and so is a 7mm.  Only, reason for the 30-06 is that you can usually find ammo at any country store.

Yeah, 30-06 would be my second choice.  I'm looking for a little less kick though, and thus .270.

Nice wild pig. Looks to have no domestic pig in him. Must have been a nice shot, I have seen many pigs that have been taken with w/smaller calibers (and larger guns) get up and run off. I always use shotgun/slug. Perfect size for the sweetest meat. Congrats and good eating. Randall
