Terry, I still hope someone shoots video of you catching fish from a SUP.  :smt001

Its pretty ugly. I have only been using the boards for just over 3 years and am still very much the novice.
I wanted to fish more from the SUP last year but winds were my bane on a lot of the days that I was able to fish. Im also a junior fly angler which makes it even uglier.
One of the reasons that I have decided not to attempt AOTY is that the board limits how much gear that I can bring and a measuring trough is just another one of the objects that makes an already challenging  and new activity that much more difficult.
I am sure if I am fishing on the board and a fish pulls me over, the Team Bridgeport crew will document and share.

Well I hope the committee gives me some brownie points for being the only one to, so far, get behind their decision to allow kayaks with sails in 2015.
Oh yeah, we have some special brownies for you haha...

Hehe.

Oh hell no!  ATD running his *****ass mouth again? Never gonna learn huh?
When you're on the damn committee you should at least try.

Thank You to the Committee for listening to our opinions and feelings (NOT WHINING) on this Sail-no sail thing.... It was a deal breaker for me and I never will win AOTY :smt005 I applaud those that do win 'cause they earn it! So do their families.... Sacrifice noted. Play the game to play the game is my Deal shmeal... That said, will  sign up soon for 2015
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

The biggest concern I have in all this is what am I going to do with a Hobie Quest, the AOTY Hobie, and 40 NCKA biggest fish species glasses.
Thresher in avatar and Soupfin Shark in signature both caught and pic taken by me.

No sharks on the species list yet,  That's still one of the baddest avatar photos yet,  super lucky shot with the shutter, and the hookup.

I was really confused when I first started fishing Saltwater. I had caught more sharks than Lings/Rocks at that point, so I was convinced everyone else had some secret trick to avoid catching Sharks.  :smt044

I haven't caught a shark since that Thresher. I'd like to fight a Thresher again one day, now that I know how to deal with them (totally botched what I did with releasing that guy  :smt011 ).

Y'all in AOTY for 2015 should watch out for this guy.  MattSwayze (my brother) caught some amazing fish in 2014, everything from two thresher sharks in one day, to 37+ inch lings and 25 inch cabs, to 40+ inch Chinook.  Not to mention he and I grew up fishing for trout, bass, etc, so he's well versed in the sweetwater stuff.  And he only got into kayak fishing a mere two years ago!  The kid's got skills that make me green with envy.  My bets are on Matt for taking 1st!

Bring it! I think 2015 is going to be a great year with many newcomers stoking the fire, and hopefully reigniting the fire that burns deep in some of the OGs. That would make things really interesting.

It will be a fun year to watch for me. I know a few guys who are gonna make a run for it, and it will be fun to see how some of these newer participants stack up against some of the more established AOTY competitors. If the Swayze express fishes hard, then I think we might all be wearing blonde Paige wigs and straw hats by the end of the year.

Oh boy, thanks Chris for the props, I'm going to do my best and hopefully I can get some nice fish. I'm not afraid to say that as far as kayak fishing goes I'm pretty green, but I do fish hard and am looking forward to seeing what 2015 will bring. I hope everyone just enjoys it as much as I do, good luck too all!
