REPORT: AOTY/DOTY Awards Ceremony

Fort Ross has picnic tables next to the main parking lot! All good there and perfect for awards ceremony. Good call Jim!
Maybe do a group hike to the beach, just because.

Power is out in Ft Bragg now.  The wind is crazy.  And 128 at hwy 1 might be flooding so not sure what that will look like in the morning.  I have Internet for the time being but we have recently lost Internet.  So not sure if I have to cancel last minute that I will even be able to update you guys.

This sucks.  Truck is all loaded and I am ready to go.  I got two freezers full of meat and fish and don't have a generator set up like we did at our last place. 

Update:  4 am.  Still no power.  Feeding the fire to keep the house warm.  It's looking more and more like I am going to have to miss this gathering.  If I don't go the diving will be good.  Probably not but that seems how things have been going. 

Was planning to make it but behind on a job due Monday, so out. Next year!

I got the power going again so not so stressed about all the meat and fish going bad now.  Truck is loaded so I am going to try to make it as long as the roads cooperate and are not blocked.  Leaving now so should be there around 10-10:30 or so.

Heard hwy 1 closed at Garcia river.

I am stuck at a hwy 1 closure s of Manchester and it was not listed on caltrans website.  Can't get ahold of them on a Saturday and trying to call local fire dept to see if they can open.  There was flooding last night but it is clear right now.  128 is also closed so I may be having to head back home.

Already drove out of the way to hit a closed road.  Couldn't get most webpages to pull up while in no data zone and roaming on my phone.  A local resident said he tried Mt View and a tree was blocking it so I headed back home. 

I hope you guys have a blast.  I really wanted to meet some new people and make more diving and fishing contacts.
