Had a great time!  :smt006

I widdled my pictures down to 176, or so. I'll post some tomorrow or maybe a little later tonight.

In Loving Memory of Mooch, Eelmaster, Shicken, and Cabeza De Martillo

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

My brother Clayman could not make it due to severe weather conditions up in Almanor, 50+mph winds knocked a bunch of trees down over the roads and prevented him from leaving on Friday as well as knocking out the power until probably sunday night, so he has no internet or anything, just his simple cell phone with no web.

Camped Friday night at TC and waited till noon before heading home.  Thought I saw Victor go by and doubled back to TC but no one there.  F!!

Dave that sucks big time. Would have been nice to see you today.

Mt view to 128 to Skaggs springs to 1

Already drove out of the way to hit a closed road.  Couldn't get most webpages to pull up while in no data zone and roaming on my phone.  A local resident said he tried Mt View and a tree was blocking it so I headed back home.

I hope you guys have a blast.  I really wanted to meet some new people and make more diving and fishing contacts.

Would have been nice to finally meet you Duane.
We'll hookup soon especially since I finally joined DOTY  :smt001

Picked up Jim earlier than our usual diving time :smt005 We drove up from SC/Monterey area and skirted the rain all the way. We were treated to t-shirt weather with light overcast and glimpses of sunshine! This set the mood for the  2014 Doty/Aoty awards ceremony, which was totally chill!

Fort Ross for Plan B couldn't of worked out any better, love that place!

Congratulations to all who participated in the yearlong tourney, the winners, and all who showed up to support the cause! :smt004

Strong work Jim, everything worked out perfectly!

Enjoy Pics.

Conditions sucked so no diving. Water looked like Willy Wonkas chocolate river.

Diving was secondary and the primary reason I went up for was to chill with my NCKA family.

Here's a few pics

Had a good time hanging out & talking with NCKA people. BigJim was hella funny with his DOTY commentary. Hate to see beer spilled but that laugh was worth the spillage. Ft.Ross was a great back up plan thanks for all your hard work Jim, Joe, & everybody else who helped out this year.

I am thoroughly BUMMED that I missed out on this.  The Gods must've conspired against me this weekend, because as I was packing to leave on Friday the craziest storm I've ever seen pummeled the Lake Almanor area.  We had gusts over 50mph knocking trees down everywhere.  A pine in my backyard snapped in half and crushed my neighbor's metal gate.  Two of my backyard fences blew down.  It was insane!  And it was one of the few times where I felt it was too dangerous to drive anywhere due to the trees collapsing all over the place.  Not that it mattered, because both Hwy 36 and 32 were closed due to a gajillion fallen trees on the roads.  I was literally stuck here until yesterday afternoon, and of course by that time it was too late.

Looks like the weather was much nicer on the Sonoma coast!  The pics depict a fun time for all.  Again, I'm bummed I missed out.

Thank you BIG Jim for a great event and mother nature for a break in the weather.  Had a great time hung-out with NCKA's brothers/sisters and pigged-out (literally).  Congrats to all winners especially Naoki for winning a prize with his barely legal Ab  :smt003  Some random pictures at the event...
