Bigfoot, you guys will be alright, pfd's will keep ya afloat regardless...  nevermind the the whirlpools under the gate, I heard their not that strong on small tide days. :smt005  Should be fun, the conditions around the bay lately have been great.  JTF..

I am really looking forward to this.  I guess I will have to bite the bullet and purchase an SF Bay stamp for my Fishing License.  While I know we plan to fish outside the gate, I will get the stamp in case fog forces a plan B and so I can troll all the way in and out.

Been looking at the weather.  It's  been spectacular on the Bay these last couple days and my prediction is it will continue on thru Sunday.  No Fog!  Should be a piece of cake out there (small current) and beautiful to boot.

Hey, Randall.  Years ago I caught one of those monkey faced eels from the rocks out in Bonita cove (frozen squid).  One of the few times I fished out there.  Could not kill that ugly sucker until I cut off his head!  Knew the kids and wife would never in a million years eat the thing so I quietly skinned him (like pulling off a glove)when noone was looking, cut him up into 3 inch lengths and broiled him slowly in the oven.  The meat comes out pure white and flakey -- and delicious.  Kids scarfed it down.  THEN I told them what it was!   :smt001      DAD!!!

OK, fellow yakers, Im in. 6:30 Sunday. Iv always wanted to do this, even before I got a yak, I wanted to yak it.
JTF Your are a sea monster bro. And this time I got my own FF. Look foreward to fishing with 'ya.
Duane- your gonna get out past the rock wall again?! Right on dude!
Bigfoot Im sure your goona get tons of advice so heres my tip #276 I got from Eric the sturg master. I you happen to dump in strong current its good idea to have all your tethers- Fishing pole, tackle, paddle, grip, game hook and all the other crap we like to play with on one side only, so you dont become all tangled up in it when you get back on the saddle. Probably wont happen.
And for everyone- If one of those container ships run us over, to them its nothing more than dollars and cents, they run over big fishing boats often enough, so yeah, I think thats the biggest thing to watch out for. That and the monster freaking fish im gonna catch!
OK folks, I think this one's going to rock!

I think the launch from the Marin side is to avoid having to cross the channel.  Hope to see you there and finally meet you Mooch.

Hey guys be safe and have fun! I am going to be hopping a plane for Seattle Sunday or I would be joining you.

When Art, Joel and I fished Bonita on Art's boat we found a little rock that was packed with fish. We saw it once on the FF but could not find it again. Sorry I can't give you better directions but it was in line with a rocky outcrop on the beach. Keep your eye peeled!  :smt003

Got room for one more?  Of course you do...  The weather reports keep showing a picture perfect Golden Gate Bridge in their background.

I used to routinely catch stripers from party boats at the base of the south tower but I think they don't allow that anymore.  Do you think we can get close enough to bag a few from our yaks?

I'll see everyone bright and early,

Gary
